I also backtested this system against this season's games using Covers' lines and came up with some pretty astounding numbers.

the record in terms of W & L sucks. I only win roughly 43.5% of the games i play. anything over 42% turns a nasty profit when you follow the progression correctly. for example last season was 757-971 43.4% i was 214 games under .500 and still made  over 20,000% ROI for the season

what is the worst outcome for this system in a season?

Isn't it better to leave teams like Pittsburgh, Arizona, Baltimore out of the Fav to run line system??

I find it a good idea to bet them as a dog but I think you will delete a lot of losing series if you don't bet those teams on the run line.

What do you guys think??

 

I checked Pittsburgh and Arizona for 2005 and they had in total 4 losing series on the Run Line and only 1 as SU dogs. But those 4 losses from the run line = 60% And thanks to that you don't have any profit of the system for those teams in a whole season!

So maybe what you can do is: wait till april is over and than elminate the <40% teams on the -1,5 system. But do bet on them as SU dogs. What do you guys think ???

MLB1234 - I just wanted to ask you if you really think if I started playing the system today for the remainder of the season, would it still be profitable?

Also, with your starting bankroll of $2,000, what is your bankroll as of today playing this system?  Is it over $10,000 since the start of the season?

Also, are there any pitching filters for not playing a game. For example if you were playing against a top 25 pitcher in the league in ERA, would it still be a play?

yes it will still be profitable. as for this season, no its not up $10,000 yet. there have been quite a few 1 run games this year that have slowed the progression compared to last season, but it is still up over 130% on the year. by seasons end it will be fine like always

well kind of hard question to answer, from 2005-2008 i only played dogs. 2008 was the worst year as it made 800% ROI for season.

you can try to do this however makes you comfortable, im not changing anything about it, it works fine the way it is. as long as you are betting the correct % on each game and increasing your bet amounts to next level as your bankroll grows and decrease during bad runs, u cant lose $ on the season. it just wont happen

dont know,  idont break it down that way,  but if your asking if there are ever D losses, the answer is yes. there are plenty of D losses through out the season

Thanks buddy.  I basically had the same plays except 2 of mine were different.

Cincy +142  (Why is Seattle a play?  I thought it had to be between -105 to -140 for favorites and Seattle is -151)

Chicago Cubs -1.5 RL (Why is LAA a play? ML was +115 which is below +135 for dogs.  Chicago is -122)

Please let me know who you came up with Seattle and Chc Cubs as plays?  Otherwise I had all of the same plays for tonight.  Thanks.

 

Yeah, I had some different plays myself, but that's just based on when you see your line. In the long run, I think this system is meant to be indifferent on when you look at the line.

yes u are right. I am on the REDS and had CUBS -1.5 as well

I actually had Angels ML cuz bookmaker opened with cubs at -155.

While my bet was correct this time, it can easily be oppo next time
