i don't have the pdf but it looks at the % of the public betting the over or under.  If a high % is on the total but number keeps going the opposite way you play against the public. I use sbrlines.com to see the public's trend % and the hourly total movement. I usually click on the line inthe pinnacle box then click consensus history at the bottom of that opened page. Look at the % on the over or under and which way the total is going hourly
