Myths about winning %

Anyone who has been gambling a while will know that you only have to hold a 53% winning percentage to break even over time if the juice is the regular -110. A lot of guys, esp the so called experts, will tell you that the biggest reason most people don't make money betting sports is because they bet too many games. I don't agree and here's why.I will list different amounts of bets below, with the winning % and units won with those bets.

As you can see by the chart, you actually come out with more units if you can keep an average of 55% on 250 bets, rather than  65% on only 50 bets. Your units double when you keep a 57.5% over 250 bets, as opposed to 65% on 50 bets. That means you have a 7.5% cushion to double your investment if you play more games. Just something to keep in mind.

There is alot i would like to say about this post but i dont want to get into it. However, do you realize how difficult it is to maintain 57.5% over 250 plays?

Just as difficult to hit 65 over 50...but like you said let's not disagree. I was just giving out info.

Yep..youre right..both task are tremendously difficult and thats why the experts feel that you have a better chance to win at a higher % rate because of fewer games. Sorta like an alligator can run 45 miles per hour for the first 15 feet..lol
