You can't have your cake and eat it too.

You have to make a decision and stick with it. if you are going to filter the sub .500 teams so be it.

All I can say is have faith in the system.

Hi everyone,

I am new, but I have read this entire thread from start to finish.

I was betting on NHL on all 3 game road trips for teams with above .500 road record. I waited until November to start and I was betting martingale. It was all going fine until I realised I didn't have the balls to wager 36 units to win 1 unit on a Buffalo Sabres C bet (which if it lost would have left me about 47 units down). I know, I'm an idiot. Anyway I thought that was me finished betting hockey, but then I found this thread and I thought it looked quite interesting and potentially profitable.

Reading through the thread, I thought people seemed to be doing not too well with the Labouchere method in October, but I was wondering how it had been going in November/December? As far as I can see, I think you guys should be doing quite well now.

Apologies if I'm annoying anyone and I hope my post isn't too stupid.

Welcome to the thread Muppet....

Labby has been treating me much better lately. The huge PL juice sent alot of people running for the hills early on, things have been much more stable lately. Some have been having success playing MLs instead and trading a few wins for better juice and some + odds.

Me, I am with you, I didn't have the stones for the C bets on Martingale laying -300 juice. PSIC has been tracking the ML on his blog https://platinumsportsinvestingblog.blogspot.com/ and I am officially a convert there. By the end of the year, it should mean less units won, but I am thinking they will be cancelled out by the savings on medical expenses for treatment of ulcers.

so in your opinion usuing the labby method with the pucklines is it less scary? is it better? how come people werent doing to well with the labby method in october were there a lot of c bets or something? i know you didnt say the part about october just wondering if this is true.

The only way to hedge against that is being more conservative and creative with the MM

Labby it up
If gm 1 loses ???
split that loss in half or quarters or whatever
Apply some of that loss plus the original profit goal onto gm2 and if that loses again follow the similar tactic onto gm 3
But what about the rest ?????
Hold those lost units aside for the next series (or 2 or 3 - however) and apply it to that plus the original profit goal there too
The objective is though your still getting in deep chasing gm's 2 and 3 respectively you're be risking less
And on the flip side you'll have a better shot with in the next series winning back those lost units with in those gm's 1 and 2 respectively (gm 3 too maybe - just keeping it real no fluff)
As the Labby states - as the year goes on the original profit goal is to be raised but that is relative to us individually
If a series loss occurs ???
Oh well its part of the game
I would just apply those lost series units over the several series plus the original profit goals on them too to get those units back

Remember.............
The bookies can win the battles = (games and very few series here and there)
But its important we win the wars = (most of all series and the whole seasons)

hey when you do the labby and you say split between game 2 and 3 are you putting it on that same team in game 2 or whatever your next bet is? like your next bet could be a game 1 for nba or nhl is that where you are putting it.

I'm sick of all this jm bullshit. his nhl system blows, anyone could come up with this crap............hey i got a system for ya...bet a team to lose their first home game after a long road trip, research that you'll be surprised, or what about Saturday night games for the home team, and maybe when a team wears new jerseys for the first time.............it's all garbage.

Yes agree, I have now cooled off, just pissed off before. Sorry to all, i respect everyone who belongs to this site....it was just my opinion, but should have posted it else where......good luck to everyone, we are all in this together.

For this method I use individually in each chase (which is several in each NHL and NBA)
The objective is utilizing the high strike rate in gm's A and B in the series of the chases
I don't mix 'em but have thought about it but don't want to complicate things even more
This way when the chases get deep with the juice (especially in this NHL Roadtrip system) I don't sweat as much as the other guy but on the flip side it will take longer for me to obtain similar profits as the next guy

The Labourchere is definately the way to go on this. yes in October I was down but Kong Killer and PSIC did a lot of research so I stayed the course and as of today using the labourchere I'm up 43.6 units on the NHL season. Thats over 20 units per month on average. Too many people jumped off when we hit the bad stretch in october...those who stayed with were rewarded big time. The thing is that if you chase this thing and lose you're going to lose 45 units on some of the plays where you are laying -275 or higher. No thanks. I'm glad i hung in there.
