Alright all you mugs, opening day is but 5 days away ( Chicago will be hosting St.Louis Sunday evening ). For those of you who followed along last season we finished very strong in the month of September going a very sterling " 56 - 0 "

So let me remind you all some of the basic parameters of this " system "  that was brought to this forum by SFJustice, in June of last year.

For those that aren't familiar with the rules of this system I have posted them below :

 "Play against a team that was shutout. 6 game chase. "

Wait til the 3rd series of the season starts before beginning.

Remember it's only a guide, a system, so use your own money management structure. Labby it, or compliment it with your own handicapping factors or other systems.
Once again, a heartfelt thanks to SFJustice for posting the original system earlier this 2014 baseball season. 

I'll wait for SF Justice to start the system, but if he hasn't started by April 20th, I will then start listing the plays as soon as any team " qualifies."

Was this ever backtested?  I don't mind backtesting a couple of years, but I didn't want to repeat the work if it has already been done.  Thanks.

How come the system was only played in September?

The system was started in a different thread on June 6, 2014 by SF Justice. He decided that he had done well enough with the system in mid August and stopped posting soon afterward. I chose to carry it forward from August 21st thru the end of the season.

I renamed the new post " MLB SHUTOUT SYSTEM...PART DEUX " and you can go back to the very first post in this thread to get enough information to see if you would like to follow the system this year.

Wow sounds great. So the system record is a lot better than just the part deux. I'll be following this along with a few others getting my bank roll ready, very excited for this season. Let's all focus put our minds together stay positive and win baby! Come on now!

There is no system that's going to be perfect year in and year out. What I will ask you to do is to read posts : 92 / 94 and 124 in this thread. Those followers were all very happy campers.

A few days before April 20th, I'll go into more depth about what to expect with this system and how last season played out. Hope you are around for the beginning.

Any unit tips/suggestions that work best with the system? is it just 1u,2u,etc,etc...? very interesting chase! 

I'm also mapping out my plan on how to play this. Was thinking of breaking it down into A & B series or going straight through. How many units at risk in an E or F bet? Thanks for the help.

Since this system is a 6 game chase,you will need to use a progressive system that will account for all or most of the previous losses in order to show a steady profit in the long run. I suggest reading up on either the Labouchere or the Martingale progressive betting systems and use whichever one you feel most comfortable with.

From the time SFJustice first posted this series in early June until the end of August ( last season ) slighty over 95 % of the series were completed by the 4th level. Six series required going one or two steps further.

It depends on what progression you want to use Jonny. The " Marty " has more inherent risk, but offers greater reward. The " Labby " is much more conservative. Here's a case in point from last year. The final series that we bet on last year was against the Detroit Tigers. The Tigers had won three straight games that accounted losses for us ( using a simple Marty ) of 10 + 20 + 40 = 70.00. The next wager in this system was a bet of 80.00. Detroit was playing at home, in the playoff chase and a -220 favorite over the lowly Twinkies. If you were patient, you would have been able to get down on the Twins at +195. The ( D ) bet in this series came thru to the tune of a profit of $ 156.00. Subtracting the previous losses of 70.00 we ended up with a net profit of $ 86.00. There will be more than our fair share of " dogs " to bet on at some point in our series and that's where we hit it out of the park.

My 4 th post since 2008.  Allison the only play I am a little confused on is when u have two teams playing one another and your play is on both of them.   Can u give a quick ex. Of how u bet this     Say one team is on A in the cycle and the other is on B in the cycle.  Sorry if this is dumb ?    

I'll be listing the nuts and bolts of the system a few days before we actually start charting on April 20th. The most simplest answer that I can give you at this time is you will treat every qualifying team as its " own " series. For a further explanation, please read post # 10 in this system.

I followed this partway through last year and it was very profitable (obviously as it had no losses), though I recall through my own research some previous years were quite bad.
