Dallas up 25 in the 1st Half.. 17 at the Half.. up 9 with 3min to go.. then miss 8 straight field goals.. then Mr. Clutch free throw guy Dirk misses 1 which would helped make the cover..

    Extremely frustrating finish.

Great job by the Celtics despite Portland hitting 3 consecutive bogus 3's in the final 2 minutes to make me sweat, while the Under was never in doubt.

Very happy with tonight's results, hopefully Andy Murray will complete a solid night with a straight sets victory a few hours from now.

A 4-0 night in the Ultimate Race putting me 20-8 Overall now, should be right around the Top 100 right in the thick of things. For those not following, we have another player here who's doing very well, too, at 19-8-1.. our very own dj_destroyer! Let's get that money DJ!!

I had a very relaxing snow day and really enjoyed a MUCH needed day off.. and I just had it capped off with a conversation with my favorite girl out West. Feeling great now and looking forward to getting through the next couple days of work.

Did anyone else miss hockey tonight?!!? I actually did..  The Draft tomorrow evening should be fun!

Gotta get some sleep, almost 3am here.. if I don't fall asleep before the Murray match I won't sleep at all, HaHa.

    Cheers

This is without a doubt the strangest post I have ever read, at least what I could understand of it.  He lost 26 000 tailing you?  Is it possible for anyone to be so stupid or irresponsible?  Seems to me his fiancee dodged a bullet on that one.

Anyway, what I wanted to say before getting caught into that stream of consciousness post is that I caught pieces of the Murray/Ferrer match this morning.  Outside of the third set, it was extremely hard fought.  I wonder if Murray had crowned himself a finalist a bit too soon, as he made quite a few double faults and unforced errors.

It sets up what looks to be a very tight final.  I'm sure Murray is happy that Federer will not be on the other side of the net like last year, but I really think Djokovic will give him a hell of a game.  I'll be able to catch a good part of it while running; it's my long run on Sunday, and it will make the monotony of the treadmill a bit easier to take

Yeah, I saw that too. Hilarious. The guy says he talked his family into following Kreature's system and they all lost everything. The mods took down his post and thread. Apparently, free speech has its limits around here.

Damn, I would have saved it had I known.  It needed to be preserved in the Smithsonian or something like that.  For posterity's sake, y'know.

I hope kreatture was able to see it before it was banished to the wastelands.  It was good for a few laughs.

I hope kreatture was able to see it before it was banished to the wastelands.  It was good for a few laughs.

I am so confused by reading these posts today?? Where was this thread and who wrote it?? Sounds very interesting, I want to know more LoL
There's no way anyone tailing me could lose $26,000 unless they just randomly tailed a few picks and bet huge amounts, which is clearly absurd. Even on the one or 2 really bad days I've had the most anyone would have lost is like 15%, and if someone is just tailing random picks without the percentage recommendation, then they deserve it. I even wrote this back in Post #301 when things were on a heater..

" I know there haven't been any down days in these last 2 weeks, but don't let it go to your head. Keep your Money Management steady and don't get greedy. There will be days when I have a setback and if you decide to increase your wagers that day you will end up very upset. And don't come crying to me, cuz I'm always continuously telling you guys the same thing.. "

Wish I could have seen this post, did anyone save it?? LoL That's too funny.

Anyway, I've taken a Mental Health Day today, my first "sick day" in 5 months, so I'm going to enjoy the beautiful sunshine and finish the spreadsheet. At least that's the one good thing about being on Salary, I don't lose any money from taking a day off!

    Cheers

It sets up what looks to be a very tight final.  I'm sure Murray is happy that Federer will not be on the other side of the net like last year, but I really think Djokovic will give him a hell of a game.

One of my roommates is a substitute teacher so was up at 6am this morning and it woke me up, so I flipped on the match and it was 4-3 Murray 1st Set, up a break! Looked promising, then somehow he faltered and lost the next 3 games to drop the set 6-4. At that point I went back to sleep thinking he was done.. Ferrer was really hitting the ball hard and looked poised for another big upset. Nice to see Andy pulled out the victory this morning! I actually like the fact he had to go 4 sets and 2 tie-breakers cuz he had been cruising so easily up to this point, it's good for him to have a challenge before getting to the Final.
It should definitely be a great Final with Djokovic, and in a match which should be capped fairly even, I'm happy to have the Dog at +160 and see what happens.

I'll be able to watch the Women's Final Saturday night, but unlikely to see the Men's. I'll have to catch it on Monday after the fact.

The $311.95 for the Murray Future has been added to the Invested portion already, since the wager has already been placed. Therefore, last night's profits don't look as good due to this technically counting as a loss of profit right now. If it wins on Sunday, then $811.07 (311.95 + 499.12) will be added to the Returned portion. This is the same way the Green Bay Future was represented so it needs to be consistent.

There's no way anyone tailing me could lose $26,000 unless they just randomly tailed a few picks and bet huge amounts, which is clearly absurd.

The post needed to be seen to be believed.  It was like if he was writing it from the top of a water tower.

Apparently he lost his condo, his fiancee, the relationship with his father and brother, and other things I couldn't quite understand.  All because of you, and now he wants his money back.

Do you have some kind of insurance for this?

I think he was blaming the whole thing on that huge series meltdown by the Texas Rangers last year. The one where everyone (that was chasing) lost their ass.

The best part was where he said "my wife wouldn't talk to me for a month which is great but I didn't get any nookie"

Shit, that's funny. I checked to see if it was moved to another forum but I didn't find anything in the Penalty Box or the Archives. Do you remember who wrote it?

    Maybe he'll write another one..

On a positive note, yet again another example of "Why Chasing Kills".

Watching the Ferrer/Murray match now.. Ferrer could have quite easily ran Murray off the court with multiple chances to take control of the 2nd Set, but Murray is really, really digging down deep and battling. It's 4-4 right now and he still doesn't look completely mentally there.. it will be interesting to watch how this unfolds and how he dominates the next set 6-1, cuz he certainly doesn't look capable of pulling this out right now.

Very happy with the finish of the Murray match, he really controlled the tempo and was the dominant player in the end. He's ready for his first Grand Slam Title, can't wait to see it.

Not much on the card tonight, but have a couple of NBA plays..

All my Ultimate Race picks are going to close a full point against what I got them... Might tail your NBA plays because I don't forecast a good night with those.

Yeah it's tough night DJ.. I'm not a fan of the Ivy Leagues and don't really follow these teams at all, but I'm also hating everything on the NBA card tonight.

I ended up going with 2 Totals and a Dog in the Race tonight. Worst day has been 2-2 so far, so hoping to at least get a split. I'm on these 2 NBA games tonight because they are the superior team and will cover more times than they don't. Utah is also desperate for a win and I think this could be a blowout win, even without Deron Williams tonight. The OK kids are usually money at home and they're playing well as a group right now. I have to believe they could put up 120 points tonight so putting up 55-60 in the 1st Half should be enough for a cover. I'll be watching these games and see how they play out and make a 2nd Half investment if I feel it's wise.

    Good Luck tonight

Went 2-1 on my NCAAB Race picks tonight, so very happy with that. Handicapping does pay off!

The Thunder started really slow this 1st Half.. but are picking it up some now! Doesn't look like will cover the 1st Half line tho, so I'll be jumping on them for 2nd Half.

Lots of blowouts around the League tonight..
