It depends where you are getting your opening line! If its Covers, you have 2 choices. The one I think you are using is really Wagerlines in the scores and matchups section and yes, they did open as the fav at -111. However, if you use the live odds, it shows vegas opened Det as the -115 fav.

since your single game totals are hitting around 60% have you thought about parlays? If you have 5 games on the same day what about a 3 team round robin of the 5. That would come out to 10 parlays.
Your system has been good for you so far so you should stick to how you been picking your games. However, if you are looking to add upon it maybe you should look more into the game. For instance Col was your play but if you look deeper, you would see they are on a 4 game losing streak and only scored 2 runs past 4 games and 0 in their past 2. In baseball, one should never pick a team to come off a losing streak. Baseball is all about streaks. What constitutes a streak, it could be what ever you want it to be. When a team gets swept and loses the rubber match of the series before that, that is a losing streak. With that said I would not bet against a team on a winning strek. Just my 2 cents and even thou Col is down 3-0 right now and just finally got their 1st hit in the 4th they can still come back and win the game. Like I said before you have a system that is working and sometimes its best not to fix if it is not broken. They just scored a run, 3-1.

So we went 1-1 today. Now I can play Col tomorrow, or stop now, right? And, I bet enough on Bal to cover the amount lost tonight? I found 4 teams that qualify for tomorrow's games. They are Min, Chi white sox, Fla, and Arz(just barely a fav, according to the early line I see). Let me know if I missed one or messed up on one of these picks. Thanks TP

Yeah I'm testing the system for both every game of the series and I'm also separately testing chasing for the series. As for the games, yeah you're right.

1) Lol I'm actually Canadian, we spell it favourite too. I'm not really sure what you meant by "my own addition" I really just found that both seemed profitable. As for the record for first game only..
Last season
AL = 24-14 (63.16%)
NL = 35-29 (54.69%)
Total = 59-43 (56.73%)
So far this season
AL = 24-9 (72.77%)
NL = 23-18 (56.10%)
Total = 47-27 (63.51%)
2) I tried checking that before I tested this system and forgot to continue checking the H/A lol, from what I found there doesn't seem to be much difference but I want to go back and get a more thorough look.
3) I'm actually trying to find the reason that NL is less successful, and I can't seem to figure it out. It's possible that it has to do with interleague since AL > NL but I'll let you know if I can find anything conclusive.
