What is a sequence?
A sequence is a series of one or more consecutive wagers that will always conclude with a winning result. Shown below are four examples of possible wagering sequences.
L - L - W

What is juice?
This is the bookmaker's commission on a losing wager. We will be using 10% juice for all of our examples.
What is the Sequence Wagering Amount (SWA)?
This is an amount that is set for an individual wager (let’s say this amount is $10). If this $10 wager is loss then the 2nd wager in the sequence would be equivalent to our SWA of $10 + the total amount lost in the previous wager including "juice." This process would repeat until there was a WIN to end the sequence. Examples on the Sequence Wagering Amount (SWA) are shown on Page 2.
What is the Sequential Sports Wagering System (SSWSystem)?
Imagine a coin being flipped, and for every time it lands on Tails you LOSE, and for every time it lands on Heads you WIN. Well the SSWSystem is a system of probability that is based on the premise that a WIN at some point is inevitable. In other words, IT IS GOING TO EVENTUALLY HAPPEN. When it does happen it will result in your recouping of all of your Lost Wagers within a wagering sequence, in addition to your SWA. This system works best for any 50-50 situation.
What is a Wealth-Line?
A wealth-line is your personal accounting system and /or financial register consisting of debits and credits that are maintained by you. It is also a method for keeping track of all of your wagering activity.
How many Wealth-Line accounts can you have?
You can have several wealth-line accounts. From time to time you may have to transfer either a positive or negative wealth-line balance from one wealth-line account to another. Or, in the event that you may have several sporting events going simultaneously, you can play them separately in individual wealth-line accounts, and you can later merge the final results to a single wealth-line account if you so desire. If you happen to get in an unfortunate situation where you are creating a huge deficit, I would recommend that you open a new wealth-line account, and start it off at the level of your SWA to generate funds to overcome your deficit.

93.00 WIN +93.00 +30.40
4 10.00 WIN +10.00 +40.40
Listed below we discuss how we computed the values shown in the above table.
Discussion:
Sequence 1: W
>> We started off sequence 1 by placing a wager of $10.00 (this was our pre-determined SWA) the results of this wager indicates a WIN. Remember that all sequences conclude with a WIN. So our first sequence consist of only one play. The first sequence balance equals $10.00 and our overall wealthline balance increases to $10.00. (W)
Sequence 2: L-L-W
>> The first wager in sequence 2 is equal to the SWA of $10.00. This wager resulted in a loss, the loss will cost us our wager of $10.00 + 10% juice, so our sequence balance is now at -$11.00. Our overall wealthline balance was $10.00 but it is now reduced by $11.00 as a result of this loss, the new wealthline balance now equals -$1.00. (L)
>> We must now calculate the amount of our next wager in this sequence. In an attempt to recover all of what we have loss in the sequence ($11.00) and adding our SWA of ($10.00), our next wager will be $21.00.
This wager also resulted in a loss, this loss will cost us our wager of $21.00 + 10% juice which equals $23.10. We should now add this amount loss, to the previous amount loss of $11.00. This will put our new sequence balance at a deficit of $34.10.
In computing the overall wealthline balance we will deduct the amount we just loss of $23.10 from our previous wealthline balance. Our new overall wealthline balance equals -$24.10. (L)
>> Let's calculate the amount of our next wager in this sequence. In an attempt to recover all of what we have loss in this sequence ($34.10) and adding our SWA of ($10.00) our next wager would be $44.10, in rounding this amount off to the closest dollar our next wager will be $44.00.
This wager resulted in a WIN. So our sequence balance is now +$44.00, and we have wiped out the previous sequence balance deficit of $34.10. We figure our wealthline balance by adding the amount we just won $44.00 to the previous wealthline balance of -24.10 The new wealthline balance equals $19.90. (W)
Sequence 3: L-L-L-W
>> The first wager in this sequence is equal to the SWA of $10.00. This wager resulted in a loss, the loss will cost us our wager of $10.00 + 10% juice, so our sequence balance is now at -$11.00. The previous wealthline balance was equal to $19.90, now it will also be reduced by the $11.00 we just loss. So our new wealthline balance equals $8.90.
Our new overall wealthline balance equals -$14.20. (L)
>> We must now calculate the amount of our next wager in this sequence. In an attempt to recover all of what we have loss in the sequence ($34.10) and adding our SWA of ($10.00), our next wager will be $44.10. In rounding this amount off to the closest dollar our next wager will now be $44.00.
This wager also resulted in a loss, this loss will cost us our wager of $44.00 + 10% juice which equals $48.40. We should now add this amount loss, to the previous amount loss of $34.10. This will put our new sequence balance at a deficit of $82.50.
In computing the overall wealthline balance we will deduct the amount we just loss of $48.40 from our previous wealthline balance. Our new overall wealthline balance equals -$62.60. (L)
>> Let's calculate the amount of our next wager in this sequence. In an attempt to recover all of what we have loss in this sequence ($82.50) and adding our SWA of ($10.00) our next wager would be $92.50, in rounding this amount off to the closest dollar our next wager would be $93.00.
This wager resulted in a WIN. So our sequence balance is now +$93.00, and we have wiped out the previous sequence balance deficit of $82.50. We figure our wealthline balance by adding the amount we just won $93.00 to the previous wealthline balance of -62.60 The new wealthline balance equals $30.40. (W)
Sequence 4: W
>> We start off sequence 4 by placing a wager of $10.00 (this was our pre-determined SWA) the results of this wager indicates a WIN. Remember that all sequences conclude with a WIN. So this sequence consist of only one play. Our sequence balance is now +$10.00. The $10.00 won is now added to the previous wealthline balance of $30.40. Our new wealthline balance equals $40.40. (W)
If Your SWA Was Equal To $100 YOU Would Be UP $399.90
If Your SWA Was Equal To $50 YOU Would Be UP $200.50
If Your SWA Was Equal To $25 YOU Would Be UP $100.30
"EVERYTIME YOU WIN -

Note: It is very important that you choose a SWA that will allow you
to at least survive a losing streak of at least 5 consecutive losses.

The size of the bankroll is very important. At one point your making a 974 dollar bet from a 50 dollar a game bettor. What about pushing your wins ? Is that how your wealth line builds?

Need to keep bets down to an almost laughable amount in beginning to endure a long losing streak. Also need to go with ATS or TTLs where juice no higher than -110 or the bets will rise at an alarming rate. I do think it has possibilities providing you keep bets very low. You can increase later if it proves successful. These type bets (-110 juice) are going to be close to 50% -- so long streaks os 10 to 15 either way are very possible.

This is the oldest "system" around, a man named Martingale "discovered" it I believe in the 1600s, try it in blackjack - blackjack is about a 50-50 game if you use the surrender option and play every situation properly, statistically you will run into the house maximum at some point and not be able to recoup and everyone knows that. People still believe in this system hundreds of years later, it would work only if maximum bet was so close to infinity that you could always keep going. A friend of mine developed a number sequence to bet which "guaranteed" that you could never lose, not doubling up and I used to watch and others play, they always chickened out when betting level got too high for them.

Legends, I remember reading about the world record of 32 reds in a row in Monte Carlo in 1948. Just think about winning $1 each time if you did it on red or where you be if you were betting on black. The ball has no memory and each spin is independent of the last. What you say is extension of the fallacy of large numbers. You can't bet to infinity and theoretically any streak can go that long. No human being can handle the risk you take (ultimately ruin) at some point for the potential tiny reward. Not too deep - that's why it's been around for around hundreds of years without refutation - casinos have maximums, that's what refutes it.

I do think this system would work in a situation using NFL and NBA tho, no team will ever lose every game by the spread, id say the most maybe 7 or 8, wed have to leave that research to the people with lots of time, but to me it just seems that every team the oddsmakers will eventually catch up to therefore creating a cover or non-cover on your part. The bad part is that this makes gambling no fun and the risk is taken away because your using a system, and not ur intuition. We all know we love our own picks and sometimes that gets in the way of actually making money...This system has promise tho, if you continue to bet the same team nite in and nite out at a -110 #...feedback?

I have used a similar system in the NFL last 3yrs. Only use it after a streak of two (not applicable wks 1&2), and only move units +1, not x2. Use a starting bankroll & divide all of it over total number of units that week. After week bankroll = starting bankroll =/- previous week. Same thing following week. I have learned the last 2-3 weeks are not 50/50 because of loss of rewards/consiquences when most seasons are decided. So I will stop after wk. 14 or 15 depending on playoff scenerio. This has woorked great two out of the three yrs.,mostly because you are applying the theory across 32 teams. At the same time I have never bet an unreasonable portion of bankroll on one team.
approx. results
'04 starting bankroll x 1249% ($1000=$12,490)
'05 starting bankroll x 1373% ($2000=$27,466)
'06 starting bankroll x 28% ($3000=$840)
Last one was pretty bad, but I'll be back to it in '07.

Facehead, please explain further - if a team wins or loses SU 2 straight, play against that result in game 3, regardless of opponent or pointspread? Any explanation for wide variances year to year?

I was not very clear. All plays/streaks are ATS. I always play them as close to game time as possible because you are betting on a team on a losing streak, or against a team on a winning streak and the line moves are generally favorable. As far as the variance in '04 & '05 there were NO losing weeks (weeks 2-15), with returns between 102% & 147%. Now as you reinvest (remember the entire bankroll is played every week) the total grows rapidly. 1 x 1.2 = 1.2, 1.2 x 1.4 = 1.68, 1.68 x 1.3 = 2.18................
as it continues on it grows faster & faster. In '06 I had 5 losing weeks w/ the worst being x .4. And continuing the above scenerio. 2.18 x.6 =1.31, 1.31 x 1.2 = 1.57, 1.57 x .72 = 1.13, 1.13 x .4 = .42.......... It can build very quickly, but disappear even moreso. Hopefully it comes back next year.

i would use this in NBA and keep taking the same team until they cover a spread
i think that would work better than just picking games because most of the time, a team will cover the spread one out of every few games

Just my opinion...If U cant win one out of every 4 games then U need to quit gambling..So if that is true then U don't have to worry about getting too high on the money...I just get sick of seeing all the losers in the League contests (Look at it,look at all the negative units compared to positive)..Thats why I posted this..Making a little money is better than losing a lot...

that is a very naive thing to say and you obviously have not been betting very long. some of the best cappers in the world go on losing streaks of way more than 4.
If you think you will never have a losing streak of 10 games or more than you have obviously not played your "system" very long

rr57---the best jockey in the country once went on an over 70 race losing streak---guess he shoulda quit @ 4 too [ also all the guys martingaling on him]
your idea has merit, and it really could work, but don't ever think you'll never lose 7-8-9 or 10 in a row
personally i think facehead had an idea, in that you are alreadydealing with teams on a couple game streaks. in 16 game season, streaks longer than 4 are very rare
been around a long time and seen many systems tried, but only thing that works for sure is hard work!!!!!!!!||thumbs_up.gif' border=0>
