Would you please explain what the exclamation points denote at the tail end of your April Dogs query?

I'm just starting to give SDQL a whack and can't find the answer in the manual.

Yeah, sure Pat. That means all results except that number are returned. For instance, p:runs!=4 means the team didn't score 4 runs in the previous game.

The SDQL is such a useful and fun tool for handicapping. I hope you can find some gems!

Yeah Dan, here's what you can do:
HD and o:WP<=47 and season=2013

But reading your question again I think maybe you are asking about this season, 2014? If so I think the only thing you can do is make yourself a list of all the teams that went .470 or lower last season. Then input something like this "team=Astros and AF" This will give you all the games where the Astros are road favs, which is the same as finding a home dog to a .470 or lower team from the previous year. You can make that query for all the teams on your list, then bookmark each individual page for easy access.

I don't think you can reference the previous season in a query, but I may be wrong. Hopefully this helped! BOL in your searching!

Always scary when you have that many underdogs going on one day, but we managed another +.500 day. Built up a nice cushion to protect against that one bad day we all have, which is nice. More winners in the morning.

Thanks BCap, the 2013 info is what I needed and has given me a good start to search things. That specific query worked. Wasn't great results but the query worked!
