Hockey is back in session - which means soon I can get back above .500
However, no moneyline plays for a few days - for those who care, my strategy is centered around the idea of hockey as a game of momentum, and the numbers I focus on are the ones over the last 5 games to see who is hot and who is not, and see if I can catch teams on an upswing (like I managed to do with Vancouver) getting a winning team at a value price. Coming off of the all star break, everyone's in the same category, everyone's had the same number of days rest, and numbers from games that were a week ago mean nothing now.
That being said, I've looked more at mathematics for predicting the O/U plays in hockey, and hopefully i'll be able to make a few plays on those. My approach for this is using the theory that Hockey scoring is a Poisson process, and i'll be using that to see if I can't find value in playing something other than the moneyline. While I test this out these will all be 1% plays.

Well, this system finally had a loss, which isn't that big of a surprise. It has had at least 1 loss the past 5 seasons. I have accumulated quite a few units since the beginning of the season. Gave some back in the past week, but still happy with what i have. The question now is do I want to continue? There are some pretty good teams coming up in the next couple weeks that I would hate to fade. I'm going to lay off tonight's play and think about what i wanna do from here.
