Chase System: Phillies, NYY, Cardinals

I am going to start chasing the Phillies, Yankees, and Cardinals for the rest of the season.
 
My thinking is that they are among the best in MLB in the 2nd half, they are playoff teams, and they have favorable schedules the rest of the way.
 
I might halt this as we get towards the end of Sept. if it looks like they go on auto pilot to stay healthy for the playoffs.
 
I just can't see any of the 3 getting swept from here on out. I will be playing all games on the ML if they are the Favorite, and the +RL if they are dogs.
 
Here are their remaining schedules:
 
Cardinals:
Wash (3), Mil (3), @Pit (3), @Mil (3), Atl (3), Fla (3), Cubs (3), @Hou (3), @Col (3), @Cin (3), Mil (3)
 
Yankees:
Wsox (3), @Bal (3), @Tor (4), Tam (4), Bal (3), LAA (1), Tor (2), @Sea (3), @ LAA (3), Bos (3), KC (3), @Tam (3)
 
Phillies:
Atl (3), SF (3), @Hou (4), @Was (3), Mets (4), Was (3), @Atl (3), @Fla (3), @Mil (4), Hou (4), Fla (3)
 
 
I will update and track this here on out. Unit size = $25. Will be betting to win units. Chase to win 1 game per series.

Day 1: Start of system, so 0-0.
 
Tonight we have a new series for all 3 teams. Betting to win $25
 
Phillies +1.5 -150 at home vs. Atlanta. 37.50/25
Yankees -220 at home vs. Wsox.  55/25
Cardinals -173 at home vs. Washington.   43.25/25
 
Total pending: 135.75/75.
 
I am doing this partly for fun, and partly research. Will manage money by doubling up some games, and spreading out losses on future games.

SWEET! All 3 series cleared on game 1!!!
 
So, we are now 3-0 on the series record.
Game 1 record 3-0.
Overall record 3-0.
 
Money: +3 Units (+$75).
 
Next series won't be until Monday since all teams won last night in game one.

You know, if you or someone else had the time to go back and test this theory and post the results, that would be great.

The thought is.... Take the previous year's World Series champion and play them in the second half of the current season with a two game chase (just the first two games of each series with a team) and see how that goes.  Play the ML if the favorite, the RL if the dog.  I just don't have the time to do this one right now.

So far, the Phillies have a series record of 12-1 in the second half of the season.  Worth a shot to see what anyone uncovers.

If they all win on the A level, this will look genious. But, I really can't say I put lots of thought into this. Just modified existing concepts on chasing and picked three teams I think will be the strongest come playoffs.
I also plan on doing this with all the playoff matchups.

Series number 2 begins tonight with the Yankees at Baltimore.
Betting 45 to win $25 (1 unit).
 
I can see Baltimore somehow winning one here, but I can't see them sweeping the Yankees, hence the premise of my chase. 
This should be a nice series. If the yankees lose tonight, I will increase my B bet by A LOT!
 
St.Louis and Philly tomorrow. Phillies got a tuffy in San Fran, but at least they are home.

Yes Sir, on a hot start.
 
Yankees win tonight 5-1 at Baltimore.
 
Yankees 2-0 in my system series, both A wins.
 
Total for all series 4-0, all on A games.
 
Total units +4 ($100).
 
Phils vs San Fran and Stl vs Milwaukee tomorrow.

I def. dig your system, but dont u think wagering 450 to win 25 is too much?? I know it looks good, but nothing is guarantee this days.. I think there is a better way to approach this.. Not saying its not a good apporach, but if they loose you are in a BIG HOLE

Xpress, that is a typo. The '4' key would have yielded me a '$' sign if I had pressed the shift key properly. So its $50/$25.
 
Come on now, who would lay 450 to win 25 bucks? That is too sick!

Why not take some plus money with an RL play? I have STL tonight too but playing -1.5 @ +117

AHHH YEAH!
 
Picked up 2 more series wins last night on the A level.
All 3 series are now 2-0 and all have won on the 1st (A) game.
 
So that is now:
Overall record: 6-0
A wins: 6
Units: +6 (+$150)
 
Dufresne, I hear you on the juice, but it doesn't bother me. Taking the RL last night would have cost me the Phillies and Stl. wins. Those are great examples of why I am not doing the RL for this system.
 
As I've heard before, there is no juice when you win!
 
Looking forward to tomorrow night's college football start!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, we got a new NYY series starting today. Undefeated A games on the line tonight. 6-0 on all series so far.
 
This one does not look so great with the pitching matchup, but I'm sticking with the system. The thinking being that a weak ass, heartless team like toronto WILL NOT sweep the Yankees. They might win 1 game, and it might happen tonight, but the Yankees will win one. Just need to manage money and stick with it.
 
Yankees -133.  Risking 33.25/25.
 
Good luck everyone.  Got a fantasy football draft tonight and will be watching the college kickoffs tonight, but you know I'll be      gamecasting the yankees game online
