Any thoughts, fellow strategist?

Creating a system for NBA first quarters. Doing backtesting now.
Thinking of maybe chasing dogs this season as faves have stunk it up so far.

Does anyone have any thoughts for a filter?
So far, filters I thought of:
return from long road trips
closing line of at least -2 or higher.
maybe filtering out certain teams
???

thanks, his idea seems reasonable, however the application shows it may not be profitable in the long run. especially when one half of the system hits only 50%

I will look into 1Q road games and maybe second halve after i complete the 1q home games.
