Another crazy phenomenon ?

Ok, I'm obessed with first game on the board number wise. In NHL if you bet the dog +1.5 this year it is hitting.

A) 68
B) 15
C) 3
D) 1

Pretty amazing! Tonight would be NYR +1.5

That's pretty crazy numbers for an odd angle.. why do you think it hits at such a high rate ?

I have no idea, I just checked if you played only HD +1.5 and....

The Rangers actually went off as the favorite, so I guess you place the bet with whoever is the dog at the time you're placing it.  Or maybe just wait until game time to do it.  It would not have mattered tonight, as both teams would have covered the +1.5, but I'm wondering how many games had changing favorites and you would have lost, depending on when you placed the bet.

Any back testing on this? Seems like it could be a fluke but who knows...the HD angle seems more consistent... another good find Jeff!

Every line was taken at opening line to stay consistent. Opening line at SBR odds. So the record is completely valid. In the case of a same line -110 -110 for example who ever had the +1.5 was the play.

I did backtest 2 years so far and the results were almost as crazy. To keep it undefeated though the system had to stop a couple weeks before the end of the season.

Bruin a check of 20 offshore lines had 8 NYR as a fav and 12 as a dog. That's why must use opening line to keep consistent. These might be a fluke just like the other systems but until they prove otherwise I'm keeping a close eye on them.

The first game on the rotation numberwise that is a dog is your play everyday! 

I have more wacky thoughts I'm going to check into will report if anything pans out.

YTD Dogs+1.5 have been hitting at 67%. 

Your system is hitting at 78% this year & around 71% last 2 years.

It looks good on the surface, but the massive ML's are what'll kill you in the end.  I would just straight bet it and not chase it.  If those numbers hold up, you'll still make a profit in the long run.
