Congrats on 19 so far. Just in case you don't know, you can start hedging now at 19 wins. Hedging is betting money ,opposite of what you will pick on Covers.If it's not a hassle to bet, I would do maybe 2k or so now, and if you get to 20,do maybe 5k to 10k. that way even if you lose a pick, you will get something on top of the 1k you have already won. If you get to 23 wins you can hedge again, a little bit more ,and 24 ,even more. If you get to 25, you will collect from Covers, and lose your hedge bets, it's up to you to decide, based on your situation, and how you like to play it. I'm sure you check the injury report, but also watch for NBA players resting after back to back games like the Cavs did Saturday resting Lebron and Tyree. If players rest, you hope their on the other team you picked.

CC: In real life not to many people are in a position to just hedge for 5k or 10k. First u need the money to hedge & secondly u need a book to allow u to wager that type of money. And he would have to have that type of money just sitting around cause if he loses he isnt getting the money from covers instantly to pay it..
Some people might be able to hedge 2k-5k but lets be real here, how many people u know with outlets to risk 10k just like that? Everyone here acts like bigshots when in reality id say 80% are average bettors of $100 to maybe 300 a game if that.. Most arent honest here and act like they risk 10u's a game but its a big joke.. I been betting for over 20yrs & my average play is still $100-150 a game.. I have outs to wager about 5k tops thru multiple books.
Good idea to hedge to probably unrealistic for most.

Finally somebody brings reality to all the hedge non-sense that plagues this site. I will also add as I have said many times before that not only do you need the money as you stated but there is this little thing called the Patriot Act that has changed the game. Don't be surprised if you go to your bank to withdraw $10K in cash if they don't tell you about a waiting period or make you sign papers which is then forwarded to the Alphabets. It's simply not worth the hassle that will ensue behind a free contest.

Best of luck Sammy, whole covers is cheering for you. On the case of hedging, Once you get to 24, I really like your pick to get to 24, it would be smart to hedge between 1000-5000 knowing you are going to be a winner regardless . I would imagine it would be the sweetest 1000 you ever lost hahaha
