This one looks REAL easy (plus I've been on a roll this past week), so let's see if it is...
St.Louis Cardinals @ Pittsburgh Pirates: St.Louis (V) @ 1.20
The Pirates have lost:
* The "V+" option was only worth .10 more than "V" (1.30 vs. 1.20), so the risk vs. reward wasn't there to justify taking a chance (remote as it might be).
Florida Marlins @ New York Mets: Florida (V+) @ 2.00
Admittedly, some numbers don't look that good (Florida swept last time into NY in early June, RA Dickey with 2 runs or less in 5 of his last 6 starts), but some numbers look a lot better (Josh Johnson 7-1 2.55 ERA lifetime vs. Mets, Marlins 8-4 vs Mets in last 12). Plus, there's barely any wind forecast for CitiField tonight...
* Went with "V+" on this one because a) the value was there and b) all I see is the Marlins putting up a 10 spot vs Dickey and the Mets (I don't know why, I just do).
Hanley Ramirez vs. David Wright: Ramirez (V) @ 2.00
As a general rule, I don't like playing player props, but this one's kind of hard to overlook:
Hanley Ramirez lifetime vs. RA Dickey: .500 (4/8, 2 2B) (also 2/6 vs. Tim Wakefield)
David Wright lifetime vs. Josh Johnson: .174 (4/23, 1 HR)
MAX BET X 4.80 = $480
