New York Yankees @ Tampa Bay Rays: Tampa Bay (H+) @ 2.40
No real rhyme or reason to this one, especially considering CC Sabathia's good numbers against the Rays and James Shields' terrible numbers against the Yankees. Just think Tampa Bay has been playing too well as of late (5-1 in their last 6 at home, and 8-2 in their last 10 overall) for them to lose 2 out of 3 at home (even if it is the Yankees). Also, at that kind of plus money for a quality team like the Rays at home, it's worth a shot.
Baltimore Orioles @ Kansas City Royals: Over 9.5 @ 1.80
Both teams hitting the Over as of late (Orioles 5-2-1, Royals 6-1-1, Royals 12-3-2 on Sundays), plus look at the pitching matchup: Kevin Millwood has given up 5 runs or more in 8 of his last 10 starts, while Bruce Chen has given up 4 or more in his last 3 starts.
Chicago Cubs @ Colorado Rockies: Colorado (H+) @ 1.80
Carlos Silva is starting to show his true colours as of late (2 of his last 3 starts: 1 IP 5 ER 2 BB, 1.1 IP 6 ER 3 BB). Factor in a Cubs team that officially threw in the towel yesterday by trading Ted Lilly and Ryan Theriot, a Rockies team that looks like it might be picking up momentum after a rough stretch, and a Rockies team that always plays well at home (34-18), and everything seems to point to Colorado this afternoon.
