MIAMI UPDATE:  The Redhawks have lost five of six games and are winless on the road this season (0-6). Tonight is Miami's first game in 12 days and open Mid-American Conference play at Buffalo on Saturday. The RedHawks are the MAC's winningest team boasting 572-328 (.636) record.



TOUGH COMPETITION: Miami's strength of schedule is the 14th toughest nationally, according to CollegeRPI.com, which leads all MAC schools. Only one team Miami has faced had a losing record at the time of the meeting and only two currently own losing records, while three are currently ranked in the national polls (No. 3 Kentucky, No. 19/17 New Mexico, No. 18/19 Temple) and two others (Dayton, Cincinnati) are receiving votes. Against the two opponents who were ranked at the time Miami played them, the RedHawks lost by just six combined points. In the second game of the season, the RedHawks came within two points of then-No. 4 Kentucky, 72-70. On Dec. 10, Miami again pushed its nationally-ranked opponent down to the wire, falling to then-No. 19 Cincinnati by four points, 63-59.
