Cap Verde is not an easy opponent, 2 or 3 of the best spanish players did not start because of minor injuries. The result is not so strange. Imo Qatar taking a point vs Switzerland was a bigger surprise.

This was a bad demostation by spain. No suprise in the attack. Midfield guys just made the team slower.

Spain routinely coughs up BS results in their opening WC games. The year they were good enough to win it they lost their opening game. In the following WC they lost their opener 5-1.
