Hello everyone, it has been a hot minute for sure. I've done exceptionally well in soccer for years, even posting on this site, but the European leagues which I much prefer wagering on take place so early in the AM on the weekends that it's been hard to consistently post being I'm on PST. But...the World Cup is upon us and played in our times zones so I will have a lot more time to do so and help us all cash 
.
I will be creating threads for daily plays but this thread is designed to share some thoughts and some of the futures I am on. To begin, the three hosting countries- USA, Mexico, and Canada- will not be in the semifinals. Maybe one of them will sneak in but I am not overly impressed with any of those sides and I think they will be heavily priced due to home field against teams they might not be superior to. Additionally, when the World Cup has been played on this continent or S. America, the European teams have not won so while I expect quite a few to advance, I'd be careful about not considering S. American teams to advance far into the tournament.
With that said, here are some of the futures and explanations surrounding them:
BRAZIL TO WIN TOURNAMENT (+950): Few people really giving them a chance and Vinicius Junior has been on fire towards end of season as have a few lesser known goal scorers. They have a tough defense, will have a lot of backing, and are getting a very good line to win the Cup. Not to mention Carlo Ancelotti who wins everything is now their coach.
FRANCE GROUP WINNER (-215): Just a bit too easy money to not wager on
BELGIUM GROUP WINNER (-245): Same write up as above
SWITZERLAND/CANADA TO ADVANCE FROM GROUP (-145): I do NOT see Bosnia or Qatar sneaking in here, the Swiss are sneaky good
NETHERLANDS/JAPAN TO ADVANCE FROM GROUP (+130): Japan has consistently moved on to Round of 16 in the World Cup and I see zero way Netherlands do not make it happen.
JAPAN TO REACH LAST 16 (+135): SEE ABOVE
SWITZERLAND TO REACH QUARTERFINAL (+275)
BELGIUM TO REACH QUARTERFINALS (+160)
BRAZIL TO REACH QUARTERFINALS (-110): EASY MONEY IMO
FRANCE TO REACH SEMIFINALS (+130): Best players on my favorite team (other than USA) but do they play like individuals or as a team. I think they can get to semis even playing as individuals but pretty sure that will be it if they don't play like a team. Solid value here though.
PORTUGAL TO REACH SEMIFINALS (+200): Stacked team but can they finally do it? Prone to giving up goals as well so that might be their undoing
CROATIA TO REACH SEMIFINALS (+1000): Clearly a long shot but they seem to always get there so worth a shot in the dark
That's more or less it, I can go down the list and keep adding. I do love Argentina but they are heavily priced and wining the world cup twice running is close to impossible. So I will play their individual games but don't see much in the way of a solid future bet here.
