Dude I hit 2/3 plays for big prices game on 1. I don't have a following to start my own threat on the soccer forum (I made my name on the boxing forum). I am not hating (I like Van) just trying to help and if I continue to post winners insn't that exactly what I am doing? I made one previous play in this forum and called it soccer bet of the season (Athletico v Fulham -> https://www.covers.com/postingforum/post01/showmessage.aspx?spt=36&sub=100749601 . As long as I keep posting winners and genuinely trying to help people you shouldn't hate on me 
You dont have to have "a following" to make a thread. I know you know your stuff in boxing, thats why I brought up that example.
But to doubt that a total of 2 was out there and making a scene of it brought negativity to the thread and smelled of douchebaggery.
Keep posting winners. No one will ever have a problem with that. Just take the drama elsewhere when you question people's plays.

Good point McBride I really don't want to bring this thread down. Its very helpful, well written and mostly excellent points. I would rather contribute to a great thread like this instead of getting 4 hits on my own

I know France has not been looking good at all but I am finding it hard to bet against them.......Uruguay play football similar to Arsenal. Short swift passes keeping the ball on the ground and its really good to watch them, the whole team moves forward ..........Uruguay are playing as a team which is what France are lacking.....Frances starting team is amazing on paper and I find it so hard to bet against them even though all signs put to 1X in their matchup against Uruguay..........On paper they rival any team.....France has good quality and depth.......If these seasoned veterens can somehow click when the pressure is on....they can hang with the best in the world......Henry, Anelka, Malouda,Cisse, Ribery, Sagna, Evra, Clichy, Gignac.....More than enough quality and experience.......Uruguay may be overwhelmed with that midfiald battle, the speed of Henry and Riberys abilty to penetrate the defense with the ball could spell trouble for Uruguay and their defense....Malouda and Anelka play together so that should help a lot and with Evra and Gallas in the back it is certainly enough experience and quality to hold off any tream....France have a history of not scoring many goals but the same is said for their opponents.......they give up very few goals..........I think this could go 1-0 to either team..........This game is a tough call...Im just not willing to bet against a team who has a history for winning at the right time.....and Henry is due for a break out toury in his career....He generally under performs on the big stage but with thte hand of god incident,,,,,,,,what more motivation does he need to prove to the world that he is one of the best in the world............Hes heading to NY RedBulls I think and hes not wanted by Barca so I think he has something to prove to himself too...He knows this is his last World Cup...........I still see France winning the group.........at worst....second........Mexico and Uruguay will not be the two who progress.........It will be france........and one of the two......IMO
Take these friendlies with a grain of salt....I see a lot of lazy, demotivated, "I dont want to get injured," styles of play.......Many teams are still cutting their squads to the required 23 men and they are putting their weakest links in the roughest possible positions to determine who stays and who goes....The coaches knows their starting 11........They are sorting out suitable replacements right now..........try to remember your thoughts before the friendlies and see what has changed...........
For me.......the friendlies have helped and hindered...........They confirmed to me that Greece suck when I thought they would do well......Paraguay and Chile really impressed me moving forward as a team and I was surprised how good they looked but I am still a bit skeptical because I know their striking is world class////but how is the defense ...will the defense hold up////

I don't like the over in South Africa v Mexico. Most opening games are cagey affairs. I think this ends 0-0, 1-0 or 1-1. Either way no real strong feelings for me opening game(s). For me small play on 1-1 @ +500 and small play 1-0 South Africa @+600. Main play Under 2.5 goals @ -180...
France v Uruguay is a non betting game for me. Again a small play 0 - 0 @ + 650 and a chancey Uruguay 1-0 @ +800. Again like the under here...
Day 2: South Korea to beat Greece @ +200. Argentina should beat Nigeria but something really fishy about that line -200??Going to take a stab at the draw +300.
I will play England v USA over as well...Looks like goals here...

the main under bets hitting both games as well is the icing on the cake. I think Vanzack has a better play tomorrow with under goals for Korea v Greece, but I seem to be rolling so will stick to my orginal selection of Korea. More a hunch then anything so don't tail with confidence. I like Van's play of the over goals England v USA. I think this will be the first dramatic game of the tournament.
Argies should win, so if you are playing them take the -1 as if they win they will cover that. I am playing the draw for +300 but fade me here I think..Will try keep the winners coming but think vanzack has the better picks tomorrow

It makes it easier to bet France NOT to win. Some people dont realize you can bet the draw and Uruguay and that would equal Uruguay +.5. Also, you would have to figure out the ratio to risk.
Also - you will have less juice betting it on a 2 way line rather than a 3 way line.... Just trust me on this one - or do the math yourself....

That was a great example of a game that the average person watching would call "boring" - but you put a Uruguay +.5 goal bet on it and it goes to nails bleeding time.
Game in retrospect pretty close to what I expected - France just doesnt have a leader, they arent cohesive - they are like an all star team put together at the last minute who cant play together. There is still a chance that they get their shit together, and they can be dangerous.
I wish France had SA next (they have Mexico) because France would just open them up - but will have to wait and see what it looks like by the last game.
I certainly think you saw the better two teams in the later game than the earlier game, and my bets in this group through the rest of the round should imitate that.

6. Slovenia / Algeria - no bet. I see this as being a defensive game, and I think it is priced about right. Slovenia should be a slight favorite, and the total should be low - so I dont see a betting opportunity on this one other than maybe a draw at +230. I will go to school on this one for future games. Predicted final score Algeria 1 Slovenia 1.
7. Serbia / Ghana - Serbia to win +116 (2 units). Serbia should be able to open up Ghana with constant pressure in the midfield, and expose a defensive lapse or two. I dont see Ghana getting many chances on net without Essien as the quarterback - and the rock solid defense of Serbia will frustrate the Ghana offense all day. I see this as being one of those 1-0 or 2-0 games you look back and think that Ghana never had a chance - Serbia gets the first goal and locks it up on D.... Predicted final score Serbia 1-0.
8. Germany / Australia - Australia +1 +106 (1 unit). Im not thrilled about this one, Australia is largely untested coming out of their new qualification group - but they are basically a very similar team that made a run 4 years ago - against a German squad that might lack punch. Add that to this being the first game for both sides - and I will take a small shot here that Germany wont win by multiple goals. Better chance of a draw here than multiple goal win IMO, but most likely result is.... Predicted final score Germany 2 Australia 1.

Yes. I parlayed them - small - with England for a plus money equation (+120) and was wondering if you had considered this angle. I know you prefer the OVER in the late game, but also wonder whether in some very small way you kind of prefer not to bet against your stars and stripes...?

Its not the fan angle - it really is that I dont trust England. They are not the TYPE of team I want to trust in a first round game. I think England at about -190 is just about right.
Why did you use 112.50 on the draw @ $220, I was figuring it would be 118 and it would end up more like -154.
Still no advantage, just trying to see if I am figuring my math the same way or wrong.
He said the lines were +220 and +260. So that makes the math:
1. Bet 112.50 on the draw to win 247.50
2. Bet 100 on the win to win 260.
If it draws, you will win 147.50, and if it wins you will win 147.50.
Your risk is 212.50.
212.50 / 147.5 = 1.44
So do you look at the high line, median and low line, for example adjust to +260 for both lines to win and +220 for both line to win and the median line? I was wrong, it should have been -167 if I adjusted for +260. Refresher course in math, its been a long time since elementry school.
