Just recovering from yesterday. What a great result for the USA.
As far as the over is concerned - I just rewatched the game on DVR and there could have been many more goals - so not too upset with the wager.....
Relatively quiet day today - picks for Monday up soon.

9. Netherlands / Denmark - Netherlands -180 (to win 1 unit) - Im a little concerned that the Dutch come out flat in their first game based on what we have seen so far from France, England, Argentina etc - but historically the Dutch seem to be on the opposite schedule - coming out and winning early but stinking it up later in the tourney. With this offense, this could be the first truly open play game of the tourney - and dare I say multiple goals? Denmark is no slouch - they have a potent attack in Bendtner - and are disciplined all over the field. Just a case of being overmatched here. Predicted final score - Netherlands 2-1
10. Japan / Cameroon - Cameroon to win +112 (.5 unit) - Cameroon should have a talent advantage here - but their lack of scoring is worrysome - so Im treading lightly here. If the Africans are organized this early in the tourney - they should have plenty of chances on the Japanese. Predicted final score Cameroon 1 Japan 0.
11. Italy / Paraguay - Paraguay +.5 (bet the draw and the win in the right ratio) (2.5 units) - Lots of reasons to like Paraguay here - typically slow starters Italy who always play their first round games close and are not overly concerned about draws - Paraguay quietly underrated here. Paraguay does have some concerns at striker where there have been recent rumors about Cordozo's availability, but very similar to the France / Uruguay game in that both teams should be satisfied with a draw here and play it low and slow. Predicted final score Italy 0 Paraguay 0.

Been a Superb start for me so far (4 wins, 1 push and 1 loss). My predicated results for the next 4 Games are below:
My actual Bets are:
1) Germany - 175 (not overly confident)
2) Holland v Denmark over 1.5 Goals @ -300 (very big bet). 3) Cameron to win to nil @ +220.
4) Italy Draw no Bet -200 (another big bet, if game is drawn you get your money back).
Predicted scores:
Germany 1 Australia 0
Holland 3 Denmark 1
Cameron 2 Japan 0
Italy 1 Paraguay 0

thank you for your predictions mack and others. I don't know much about this game but love watching it just the same. I'll ride the 2.5 unders until I lose I guess, as long as the games aren't total mismatches. Gambling is all about trend spotting and following people who know more than you do.

Ghana is probably the best talented African team from top to bottom – but can never seem to pull it together. They did well 4 years ago – and made it to the final of the ACN in January. Essien is out – and you cant underscore how big of a deal that is. I think they fall victim to a very tough group – and have moments of lack of concentration and typical harsh play which will cost them.
Handicapping Analysis and Bets: I will take a small shot on Serbia stealing the group at +330 for .5 unit, and Germany NOT to advance at +375 for .5 unit. Otherwise – I don’t see much to bet here.

3. Ghana 2
4. Australia 2
