What are your thoughts on the sippy cup break?

This has turned into a 4 quarter game as opposed to a 2 half game. I get the whole heat thing. On Monday it will be 70 or less degrees for the USA match. Do they really need a sippy cup break? All opinions and thoughts welcome.

I f@cking hate it

It's bullshit and just meant to bring in more commercial revenue - under the guise of giving the players a chance to drink water.

Teams being used to high altitude is an advantage, why don't the other players get an oxygen break where they can go to the sideline, catch their breath, and get O2 tanks to huff on?

Having better conditioning and ability to keep running at peak in heat and with less water is a physical advantage that gets stripped away with these hydration breaks.  If a player can't hang for that long, they need to be subbed out.

Protects the players, the heat is no joke. It’s only getting hotter every year.

It makes sense and its going to be used further in the future, but just when its really hit and the conditions demand it.

At this WC its mostly a sh*tshow for showing commercials

sucks

helps the weaker team adjust early

Telemundo doesn't  break for commerciaks, they stay on the field

It’s terrible
