I think the forgetting to post a play for the week is exactly the problem.  Or, the opposite happens.  I post a play Monday morning (that I'm not too confident on)  because I assume I'll forget later in the week.  Then the weekend rolls around and I'm mad at myself for playing such a poorly capped game. Maybe 2 plays a week would be a decent compromise; just have them both posted in the same thread?

As for the -250 cap, I personally am against it but do understand where it's coming from.  From my point of view, if you can make money laying tons of juice then more power to you.  Laying -500 every week probably won't result in a winner strategy but laying it in the right spots is definitely acceptable.  To me, capping is finding value.  If I cap a game at -750 and the actual price is only -400 then I have found value, even if there is all of that juice. 

I always wondered if Covers would open up a soccer competition but I highly doubt it; especially because of the obnoxious amount of leagues there are worldwide.  I have no problem helping you if need be with updating the standings, etc or starting a new thread just let me know bro.  I know it's a lot of work.

How about another play if you get a PUSH? I hate those things, but they are better than a loss.

I think it is fine the way it is. There are 104 people in the contest and while only half make a pick each week, that is tons of work for Bake to update each Sunday.

If Covers took over it would not be as fun as it is because we would only get a fraction of the games to play.

Hey guys, thanks for the ideas and the feedback.  This is what we need to make it even better.

I, too, like the ML limit kept at -500

One thing I may think about changing is the push situation.  On the one hand, it sucks having to wait 6 days for your next pick after a push, but on the other hand, some would say that is the risk you take betting a total at 3 instead of a riskier 2.5 or 3.5...or a handicap at -1 instead of -.5 and so on...

I like the mix of a competitive nature and a free spirited "experiment" where cappers can let loose and pick long shots.

Please keep posting your thoughts or PM'ing me ideas.  We are almost half way through the year, so I would recommend that we keep it as it is and continue to have fun with it.  BUT, I am open to everyone's suggestions.
