Sadly I have no complaints. The better team won and sadly for me I have gotten this BADLY wrong. I know the goal a 2-1 was a COMPLETE sickner but I think/know the best team won.

I of course apoglise for those who have tailed me on this pick.        I feel I have let you all down. I have no more picks for the rest of the tournament. I have Brazil and Argentina and if one those win the tournament, I break even for this world cup. If not then down about 6-8k depending on future bets. Paraguay and Japan can do me a favour by going to penalties but my world cup hinged on this.

I know some people might say this was a wreckless bet, but I truly believed in it and that is how I have made my money over the years. Backing big on something I believe in.

I will bounce back in the boxing forum for sure that's a promise but again I apologise for the here and now.

I hope your picks do well from here on in. I wish you all well but that was my last contribution to the world cup foum. It's been great fun, loads of ups and downs.

I have a giving nature, I like to help. Am I popular? No..Who likes a man with my confidence. I was shaken after the England game (and felt terrible for my followers who don't have my roll), but it's my job to bounce back. Some bouncebacks can take place in days others months.

With tonight's bets money is money. I am not wrecklessly throwing round 1k bets on a hunch on a underdog, that's who you lose money quickly. Look at the stabs one of them was +2200, the other +1600 and a +750. Gez let's be realistic here ..I noticed most my plays hit before the Paraguay game in this thread. I won huge on Nadal yesterday and decided to roll the dice tonight. I posted clearly I was betting big on the under and taking stabs on a few Paraguay bets (check it yourself).

Absolutely! I said only 2 bets before I made (both won) that I felt more sure about. If I got this wrong after 1) betting half my roll and convincing strongly for people to join me 2) losing on my last big bet posted  then I have to leave Covers because i am not helping people. I have had a lot of hate lately (everyone was waiting for my Nadal pick to fail in the tennis section). There have been idiots like koles, dust, tlosers, tennis capper, friend shrimp and many others hating and doubting my ability. I made a huge bouncenack this week for which I am enormously proud. I questioned myself after the England pick, you have too. But I regrouped, came back more determined. Class

I dont think I have "hated" on you.  Merely tried to help you keep things in perspective, but in post #58, you have clearly gone off the deep end with your ego and you cant blame it on being drunk this time.

I posted that because I felt I let people down and that I felt posting after that bad pick would not be good for my followers. I would be posting with too much emotion and this may lead to bad picks..

Then Nadal hit when my neck was on the chopping block and my confidence returned in spades. I was right. Nearly everything on the soccer forum has hit.

I'm Irish dude and proud of it but my location changes regulary but right now I am in Dublin..the 18k on a total in truth is not a super play. But I won yesterday and I was on a roll. When your rolling good you roll the dice. I liked the play (I stated on this thread it was my favourite play), rolled the dice it hit.

I respect what you are saying. I do. Nearly everyone, scratch the nearly EVERYONE would agree with your post right there. But I am different and I know this. It's what makes me great, it makes me organise a mortage size loan, spend 5 weeks in England setting up the betting account, then betting it all on Mayweather to beat Hatton @-200. What sane man does that? If that's losses my life is one long hill uphill battle from there. I was having personal problems, no girlfriend and I literally gambled it all on what I believed was the greatest line in betting history. I posted that bet on this very site as the bet of the century. I turned those winnings into enough to buy a house and a car. I won enough in the past 24 hours to take 3-4 years off if I am careful with my money.

Normal guys can't identify with a guy like me. Why make all this money and come to covers? I get asked that very question all the time. I can't explain it. I got a PM a few years back from a guy that tailed that Mayweather pick. He sent me the nicest thank you note you can get and he tails me to this day. I get a GREAT buzz of that.

Haters hate but the facts are when I post my semi final picks it will be one of the most viewed semis picks.
