I see you playing -.5 (Half a goal) what is the benefit to that? I know the benefit to a +.5 that means you win with a tie at the end of 90 minutes but the -.5 on the Uruguay game is (+108) while the ML is (+112) Isn't the game still scored in the first 90 minutes and nothing further with that line? So why not just play the ML and increase the odds slightly?

You are correct - for the ease of posting here - I just put it as -.5 to avoid confusion.  I bet whichever line I can get the best price, whether it is -.5, ML, or a combination of no draw and no win for the other team.

I always try to get the best price available every time I can.

Can you see Brazil losing in the 90" regulation?  If not, would it be a good idea for me if I took Neth+.5  (-105) to take Brazil:pick (-245) to middle it?  Thanks again.

For the same reasons I describe earlier in the thread - mostly because of massive vig tax - you shouldnt bet opposite sides of a wager to "hedge".

Betting Brazil to win, and Holland to win or tie all at the same time will cost you a fortune, and really serves no purpose.

Brazil could easily win in regulation time, thats why they call it gambling....

But I have an uncomfortable amount of money on Argentina.

I rarely have any feeling of nervousness before an event, but I havent felt this way since the night of the Obama / McCain election.  That was the single biggest win in my life - and if Argentina wins this tournament this will be bigger.

But if they lose, still an extremely profitable month - so its a different kind of pressure - but pressure nonetheless.

What do you think about Uruguay - Pick (-210) since I no longer have the luxury of taking Uru -.5 (+110)?

Thats a pretty big price on the PK line, but if that is your only option, you have to make that decision....

Anyone just catch the jump at Pinnacle on Argentina from -136 to -141 to advance?

Van is the bet to qualify the same as to advance?

Im looking on bodog and they have argentina to qualify -168 which is a much steeper price than your -138 but jus trying to figure out what the difference is or if there is a difference?

Just joined this site and seen that you are having a great run so far so congrats on that.I read your write up and just had one question about the germany argentina game.You say in your write up that you feel that the price is low on argentina cause of the german game vs england BUT YOU DIDNT mention anything about argentinta and how they scored vs mexico.1st goal was offsides, 2nd goal was a mistake by the mexican defender and i think if your going to say that the england/german game should have been 2-2 going into half than the mexico/argentina game should have been 0-0.Please excuse me as english is not my first language and i hope you understood what i was trying to say here.

i guess im trying to say that when you say people look at the last german performance and think think the germans are better than they really are i say take a closer look at argentina, so far they have not faced anyone that has been any good and this is there first real test.Just as a side note my brother played in the 1978 world cup for Iran ,well he didnt play but was on the bench for that team and i will tell you later what he said when they had to play holland in another post some other time.its really funny. anyway good luck to you.thanks for your time.
