Austria v North Macedonia

Even though the Austrians defeated North Macedonia 2-1 & 4-1 both home and away during the qualifiers back in 2019, I fancy this to be more of a tight contest. First form wise Austria have struggled as on late with only one win in their past 6 games and that was to the Faroe Islands. Austria has also failed to score in the last 3 games. North Macedonia on the other hand come into the match having only lost two of their past 14 games including that famous win versus Germany. The game will be in Bucharest to a largely pro Macedonian crowd. I see a low scoring game perhaps old man Goran Pandev to score. I will wait for the lineups for that prop. Right now I like;

Italian's look good but not convinced on there defence and goalie, have them to make the quarters and think they will go semis too but fall short at the end.

 Yeah Lukaku is my pick to get it but could not pass up on that price. I think either France, Belgium or England will win it all, but the value was with the Azzuri

DJ,  GL with this.   and thanks for taking the time to do this.  tho im not a big fan of stats with Intls it doesnt prevent me from reading.   notgoing to comment on everything but like that reference in the Lion writeup. just take them game-by-game.   kind of mentioned similar in thy own thread 'the h*ll with this' - its too early to be reaching for the aspirin bottle - and eliminated all 5 behemoths from futures. 

Mancini doesnt have Cirro slated for PK's, thats Jorgs job. BUT..... he has hinted at sharing the duties. after all, it is his home field and theres things/areas about that pitch that outsiders are not aware of.  my critique of cirro is documented heavily with our group (laughing).  but soon the blinders come on and the patch reigns above everything.  and for that, i hope youre dead accurate with that prop.

Netherlands v Ukraine

The game being played in Amsterdam gives them the edge where since 2020 they have a record of four wins 2 draws and 2 loses. Ukraine away from home are pretty bad having only won 2 over their past 13 away games and those were to Luxembourg & Lithuania. The Dutch missing Van de beek & Van Dijk will obviously hurt them, but not so much in the group stage. Since Koemans departure to Barcelona they strangely hired De Boer as manager and he has been heavily criticized for his negative tactics and having basically no management style. I expect a low scoring match perhaps 0-0 or 1-0 to the home side thus;

Scotland v Czech Republic

The long suffering Scotland fans finally get to play in a major tournament ending a drought that was in place since 1998. 12'000 will be in attendance at home in Glasgow versus an opponent that they beat both home 1-0 and away 2-1 last year. Form wise the Scots are undefeated in their last 5 where as the Czechs are 2W 2L 1D the 2 wins coming against Estonia & Albania. This is yet another game that screams the under however there is little value in that, I was also considering HT/FT DRAW/SCOTLAND. I see plenty of value backing the home side so;

Poland v Slovakia

There will be almost 34 thousand spectators in St Petersburg in Russia most of them Polish. I expect an open game as Poland need the win versus the odds on favourite to finish bottom Slovakia. Form wise both sides have been drawing too many games lately 3/5 for Poland & 4/5 for Slovakia. On paper Poland are the better side with a transfer value double that of Slovakia & a more superior ELO rank of 1796-1656. The analytics are all pointing to a 1 goal victory for Poland. If anyone is going to drag their team to a win it will be Robert Lewandowski who the Slovaks have no answer to thus;
