Arsenal have spent money this off season bringing in Gabriel Jesus & Zinchenko from Manchester City, I actually snagged this at +110 last week but still like it enough to recommend for Friday. Palace will be without two top goal keepers Jack Butland & Sam Johnstone. 3rd string keeper 35 year old Vicente Guaita will start for the Eagles and I think that could be an important edge for Arsenal.

The home side will look forward to continuing their great form from pre season. They have won their past 5 games that included a cup tie away to Carl Zeiss. This is obviously a home opener with their new manager Niko Kovac and they will look to impress. The newly promoted visitors still need to make few signings to be competitive in the top flight. Too much value on the home side that have won the last 3 head to head encounters going back to 2020. Any thing better then 1.80/-125 is a play.

I always like to back the angle of a newly promoted side playing at home early in the season. There is not much to separate the 2 sides in term of quality but there is in terms of home and away form. Rio Ave's last 10 competitive home games 9W 1D and 4 GA where as Vizela's away record is 2W 2D 6L and 22 GA. The last 2 times Vizela played in Rio ave they lost both. If you want to cover your butt in case of the draw, you can also play draw no bet, aka PK @ -150. I just do not see the home side losing this outright.

This is my play of the weekend. I really like the foxes this season especially without any European competition and Brentford are my pick to be relegated. Brentford lost Eriksen to Manchester United and their team on paper does not scare anyone. The last 4 head to head meetings Leicester wins all 4. The foxes also had a great pre-season winning their past 4 games.

Toulouse/Nice to DRAW @ 3.52/+252 (FRA) 1u Marathon
Once again we have a hope opener for a promoted side Toulouse who will not want to lose this game. Both sides play a pretty open 4-3-3 style that should cancel each other out. Nice are really good at the back and the addition of Kasper Schmeichel just adds to that stern defence. Both sides happy with the point in this opener.

The visitors here Casa Pia are the poorest side in the league and are my top pick to be relegated back down to the 2nd division. Santa Clare have a great home record they are unbeaten in their past 11 games. Their last home loss was way back in November and that was to Porto. Terrific odds here at plus money as I had this at 1.80/-125.

Too much value for the away side that did the double over Lens last season winning 4-0 & 1-0. I'm getting a goal at almost even money. Brest have not won their opener in the past 9 seasons. Not to be outdone Lens have only won once in their past 6 season openers. So I'm thinking a draw here is very likely.

Nantes/Lille UNDER 2.5 @ 1.88/-114 (FRA) Pinnacle
Last season Lille have only scored 48 goals in 38 games where as Nantes have only allowed 48 goals in 38 matches. The last five games head to head all went under the total. I expect a tight game with a 0-0 or 1-1 final score line. Nantes started their campaign with an away draw and Lille started theirs with a home win. I don't think either side would be unhappy with a point.
