Super rugby round 8

After a glitch the previous round got back on track last week to put the season record at 6 from 7 at an average price of around $1.95.

This week I'm on the Reds/Rebels game. The Rebels have been stringing together 15+ phases of possession but simply cannot score tries. Harris will keep knocking over goals to keep them in the hunt but they need more points than he can offer if they are to win games. The Reds haven't been scoring points but with Quade back they certainly have the potential. Having had last weeks run together I'm expecting better cohesion and this to be converted to points. Genia is not playing well but with his favourite 10 outside him he can turn that around. O'Connor has the slickness to take advantage of Quade's flare and Kerevi has the power. Provided they can maintain discipline and get a reasonable share of possession, the Reds will have too much strike power for Rebels to overcome. In addition the Rebels struggle at home and I think the Reds being away from their supporters might take some pressure off them.

I'll be waiting to see the 2 line-ups and also to get an idea of the conditions but I'm eyeing off Reds h2h, currently @ $2.15.

Thanks snake and good luck for the weekend. It's a bit strange to be tipping Reds on the strength of their scoring ability when they have run in fewer tries than any other side, but the strike power, with Quade back, appears to be there.

No team lists up yet but Weeks is obviously out, which could have a considerable effect on scrums and scrum penalties. There doesn't appear to be any Reds injuries from last weeks game, Gill seems certain to start and Hunt probably will come off the bench. Melbourne weather, though notoriously unpredictable, looks fine. 

2.5 points start is on offer but I think Reds will win straight up and I'm taking the $2.15 H2H while it's still on offer.

You're right Rod. Don't know if it's courage or stupidity or rugby smarts. Hoping it's the latter. GL with whatever you're on.

Am not trying to dodge putting up a losing tip but a send off 20 minutes into the game is not maintaining discipline and 32% of the ball is not a reasonable share of possession. You were right Rod and I was wrong.

Some send offs are the result of action applauded by team mates (eg Noel Kelly belting Robin Orchard after he'd flattened Johnny Gleeson) and inspire a team. Horwill's stupidity had the opposite effect and would have left the team totally p*ssed off with him. Mind you it didn't appear to deserve a "red" but was nevertheless idiotic and almost certainly cost his team the game. If I was coach I'd drop him from the next game for letting his team mates down, even if escapes a suspension.
