What a poor weekend to open up last week. That will be turned around this weekend though. My boys get under way tonight and think any body who follows me knows they are the play tonight.

Chiefs/Crusaders Over 46.5 7 units @ $1.90
Love the over in this game tonight. The weather is going to be perfect for open plan running rugby and that is one thing both these teams do very well. They have attacking weapons scattered across the park and that should make for tries and plenty of them. Yes both teams have new faces and there could be some teething issues early but i don't think that will keep it under this number. In their last 5 matches the total has gone over this 3 times, however the 2 times it did not were playoff footy so that is understandable. Usually we see totals around the 53 point mark early in the season with the good weather so i am taking this gift and trusting my gut. In their last pre-season game the Chiefs almost scored this many alone against the Blues in good conditions. I think we can lock this game down as track meet.

The Crusaders are the well known slow starters of the competition. They generally build their way into the season as they have AB's resting and building their way into a new season, Blackadder has promised that will not be the case this season. However they are missing Kieren missing for the start of the season and no DC running the ship. I think that will affect them more than people know. On the other hand you have the defending champs getting 4 points on the road but they always start the season strong and this game promise's to be a real thriller. They also welcome back and old face in Muls at the back which will be a good thing and really like the make up of the side for the title defense.
Not sold on the SA game just yet. I am thinking i want to perhaps take the under and the Bulls but both teams did not look much scrub last week so could also be a lay off game.
