    Over 33.5

Silly me, who was i to think that the Roosters would would be able to score a try at home......

What is it with teams getting blanked out at home? Then going home and collecting $10k cheques for the weeks work?

Two of the worst games of rugby league i have witnessed this afternoon.....

Absolutely woeful standard......Wrestle wrestle wrestle, drop the ball, wrestle, drop the ball, 5th tackle (if you get there), put a bomb up and hope you get lucky.

Absolutely woeful standard......Wrestle wrestle wrestle, drop the ball, wrestle, drop the ball, 5th tackle (if you get there), put a bomb up and hope you get lucky.

    NRL 2012

Rostos mate, get into Super Rugby.

    Much better quality of football.

The NRL should not be allowed to be played in march......If they want to play in March, have it at night.......

There should be no games during the day at night, none....There shouldnt be any games in Nth Qld at all in March.....

Look at the crowds this arvo.......How many of these fans will be back after watching this?

Craig bellamy is responsible for the rat shit product we see on our screens.

In all honesty, last night, after the Dogs scored with 30 mins left, i have never ever been so bored at a sporting event. Even though i won my bet, in a corp box etc, i was dead set board.

Look at the Knights today, they ONLY scored 1 legit try.....and that was because of a crash over......There other 2 tries were just lucky.....

Thats what the modern game, its all about the wrestle, it is impossible to score a try, impossible....

It was a perfect afternoon (dry weather) and NRL teams got blanked at home? Yes the Sharks scored a try, even though the player knocked the ball on......

It really is a horrendous product

I watched/bet a bit of ITM and world cup last year but never really been able to get into union. I prefer padball

I don't think NRL is rigged for betting, as far as I understand if there's equal action on each side underdogs covering and winning su is usually the worst outcome for the books. That's happened too much over the first 2 rounds, it's just the nature of the game, it happens in all sports. Regardless of the odds they are all pro athletes competing at the highest level, when they are out there the focus is winning not covering a spread or a total, unless a team wide fix is on or individual players are tanking to fix prop bets but that'd just draw suspicion and hurt their careers. Refs I could see being more susceptible to being bookies pawns but even then they risk jail and becoming public pariahs if caught and generally get sacked after bad calls that affect the outcome of games. I think that's more likely to happen in the lesser Euro soccer leagues. Turkish and Russian especially.

If the NBA is rigged as is often suggested then why the hell did the Cavs beat OKC at home the other day? It serves no purpose to the league.

In the early 2000's, that is when i absolutely killed it in overs and unders..because you could see which teams are really good with the ball and teams really good defensively...

Now, because of the rules, scoring legitimate tries is so hard, you have to rely on kicks, bombs, bat backs, deflections for tries to be scored, how do you cap that?

Is this what the NRL want?

I don't understand why these early season games are played according to the daylight savings time. It's the hottest part of the NRL season and daylight saving is still in effect down south so these games are being played at what would normally be 1pm - the hottest part of the day.

Knock em back a couple of hours and have a 4pm kick off or a twighlight kickoff. At least until the weather cools off

Agreed, the players are complaining, that the ball is sweaty, it leads to a knockon athon.....dour spectacle, so why have it?

You are making it sounds like the NRL needs to cater for the needs of the punter

League has to start in March otherwise they won't be able to fit everything in the current schedule

Is the bookmaker trying to throw away money?

It was more 10mins in but close enough to half time, half time was 3.5 tries

You are such a funny bugger, I thought you were sitting there watching masculine Aussie rugby league, sipping on yer fancy cocktails with instawhip cream on your upper lip. Only to find you were having a lark with me.

I can't touch the spirits any more. I like to think I'm known as a good bloke but god damn 1 jack or bundy rum and dry too many brings out the inner douchebag. I'm a craftbrew/trappist snob. Beer in cans is a faux pas... I'm a Brewers fan but wouldn't touch that Milwaukees best and isn't PBR is for hipsters with tight jeans and radiohead on pastel coloured ipods!

The Roosters/Panthers game was setup for plenty of points. Won't find better conditions but it just came down to sloppy play and ball handling from the Roosters

You are always going to get some games which are dire in terms of spectacle but for the most part I don't think the product is that bad right now.
