I used to be with them when they were sportsalive. They used to have good plays especially on AFL totals. But I closed my account a long time ago. Very nterested to find out the reason behind them closing down.
I'm concerned at the comment from that news link and NRLisBank's comment. That kind of shit scares.

Damn!!!! I had an account & used to bet with them regularly when they were known as Sports Acumen until the last few years or so. Following the name change, I didn't like how they used to frame their markets late & with shitty lines/odds and decided to move my money elsewhere. Thank goodness for that

c/bet are piss weak, don't take a bet. It will only get worse, they are being bought by sportingbet, who in turn are being bought by ladbrokes.

Well ALOT depends on if/how they mark you.
Sportingbet are the biggest joke of them all, ask for 500, they gave me 20. At least some of the others gave up to 200. 95% of the UK are just as bad.

I LEFT centrebet two years ago for this exact reason - they were appalling with cutting wager sizes and basically made it impossible for me to stay with them.
topsport is the only australian based book I bother with. Very basic in terms of their betting options but they won't limit or cut even on smaller profile sports like netball.

2. The 1M+ in balances is so far off it a joke.. Try quadrupling that. So the 250k guarantee is about 8% of balances.
It is straight up fraud, and someone or multiple people should see jail time
However, I'm guessing every account will be paid in full. As a few buyers, 1 inparticular could save it all. Just depends how much more is uncovered by the liquidators at the end of it.
