Round 6 Super Rugby

The Lions have actually impressed me so far this season with good performances against the Chiefs and The Cheetahs. They are a side capable of scoring points and their pack have managed well against others so far with players like Jaco Kriel and Warren Whitely being standouts. I think the Crusaders have shown they are growing in to this season very well with impressive performances home and away. They can control and focus on a win as well as pulling out the thrashings using their back 3 to run in tries. I think this game will be much higher scoring than last weeks game against the Sharks (who play a boring kicking game imho), I expect there to be 50+ points in this game with the Crusaders being the victors. ** Crusaders -1**

The Blues have had a rocky start to the season and have a point to prove that they can in fact win a game away from home (this game is in albany , their second home but don't have a good record away from Eden Park). This is their chance to impress against a slightly depleted Jaguares outfit. The Jags have made 9 changes to their team since last week. The Blues have had their bye last week so I expect them to be well rested and full of energy. I expect this to be another high scoring game (over 47 points ) and the Blues to win by more than 10. They have danger men out wide that can finish from anywhere like Tevita Li and Rieko Ioane and Rene Ranger to smash it up in the middle to give them goof front foot ball. They also have a bonus of having George Moala and Akira Ioane to come off the bench for them and wreak havoc. The Jaguares play attractive rugby to watch and keep your eye out for Manuel Montero making his super rugby debut in the 11 shirt. ** Blues -9**

This is a game i think will be a tough low scoring affair. I think both teams are very evenly matched and the Brumbies have a very good home record. That being said , in my opinion the Chiefs have been the most exciting team to watch in the competition and deserve to be table leaders. This is a game that if they can win this they can win the whole competition. the bookies have Brumbies at -5 but I don't know if I trust them to hold down the Chiefs. I see a bit of value in taking the Chiefs to win at 6/4. **Chiefs +5**

This is a game I think nobody really knows how it will pan out for many reasons. The Kings are still not great but look like they are definitely improving every week. Whilst they ended up getting a pasting from the Canes last week they still put up a very good fight fro the first 60. The Sunwolves on the other hand have also lost all of their games so far but have at least managed to keep their losing deficits down a bit more. This game could go either way but I am going to be optimistic and go with the under dogs here. **Sunwolves to win or +3 , also depending on the match total points, I could see this being an over 45 pointer**

Neither of these teams have inspired me too much this season. Both of these teams were lucky to get a win against competition newbies - The Sunwolves. The Cheetahs have been very hot and cold despite having some quality players. The Bulls are boosted by the return of Jesse Kriel at fullback this week he could be a game breaker in their side giving them quick counter attacking play. I expect this to be a classic South African derby with tit-for-tat kicking for the posts penalty after penalty. The Bulls have a very strong lineout maul and goal kicker will use it to go forward. I think the Bulls are definitely stronger and would take my chances with the Bulls at home. ** Bulls -9**
