value chain my arse.

I buy what I can from local producers up my way. Vegies, eggs, meat, juice etc. My wife is quite the eco-warrior.

Have you guys seen those Coles ads were that Curtis Stone guy says he can feed a family for under $10?  but then you see him pick up a vine of luscious tomatoes which are about $40

Feeding a family for under 10 bucks is easy. I can do it under $5

Loaf of bread + a few slices of devon = saved

On special occassions we can go to $10 by splashing out on a tomato and a few lettuce leaves. Birthdays we can throw in a carrot

anybody else here got budgeting issues?
