The NBA never caught DOnaghty, he was cheating for years. The FBI caught DOnaghy when they were investigating a completely different case. They caught him by luck.
He was cheating for years, yet the NBA with there internal investigative procedures and compliance never caught him.
Just goes to show how innefective they are...So why would you trust Stern when he says no other refs are cheating? How does he know? Clealry the NBA cant catch cheating refs,.

I'm not sure how you think the NBA has the means to monitor refs in such fashion. Donaghy actually only bet the last two season and was actually caught because of a broader investigation relating to low level mob. He was secondary and minor - happens all the time.
If there was rampant ref cheating, it would have been nailed long ago. As it is, it was one rogue with a degenerate gambling problem who turned to fixing at the behest of a mob guy to make up for his debts.

He was cheating for 5 years. The FBI were not suspicious of Donaghy, they were investigating a MOB case, completely different case. The FBI agent said that they came accross a phone call by accident and that is how they got on him.
In terms of other refs, how would you know? What i do is that i have zero faith in Stern and the NBA to catch teaching refs, simply because Donaghy was cheating for 5 years and he only got caught by luck, from the FBI

it doesn't really add up you post these strong thoughts of yours every week of the nrl season yet you don't care what people think of you, so why bother? what exactly is the point of sharing these rash thoughts if you don't care. better yet if you really believe in these rash ideas why do you still come back for more every week

Not 5, part of two years. And US federal prisons are riddled with people sitting there because of FBI "luck".
And I know there aren't any other bogus refs because none have been busted since. So until then, nothing. Trust me, if they were betting, Vegas would know about it very quickly. They KNOW what they are doing when millions and billions are involved.
I know, I used to live right across the river in Arizona.
