they need to take a leaf from Qld's book and pick a squad who they believe will be the nucleus of NSW origin football for the next five yrs. Its not like the cupboard is bare in this regard.
It might mean they don't win an origin series for another two years. But one thing is certain, they WILL get better and better with every origin game they play, as opposed to now, where they just bring in a bunch of new faces and they get smashed up worse than the time before.
I always thought that one of the big things with Origin is giving players a chance to make amends after a lost game. I mean you see it in the NRL and across all sports - where teams power back after a defeat. In origin that feeling is multiplied by 10. But by chopping and changing teams the way NSW has, they haven't allowed the players to harness the emotion / disappointment of a loss and use it positively next time round.
