NRL Week 6

Well last weekend was going a long great guns until my own let down spot in MNF were had a 7 unit bomb explode all over the place. Knights didn't bother to show as many of you had expected. I had given them the benefit of doubt but have now learned my lesson. They are the poor side I thought they were.

Onto the card for this week. Looks like the odds makers have come back to earth this week with a lot of very close lines and interesting games we have. Will do my best to keep on rolling this week and improve that record.

Picks:

Broncos -2.0 5 units @ $1.90

Think tonight the favourites bounce back and show gamblers what they are made of. I also feel that this spot is a let down one for the Titans after such a massive win over the Storm. Broncos will be looking to bounce back in what could be called a grudge match or derby game. Broncos were out played last week by the Eels and did not deserve to win, however I think that may have been the kick in the pants they needed to get right back on track this week. Titans are 4-1 ATS and Broncos are also 4-1 ATS so not a lot there. Titans do lead the comp but after this weekend I do not think that will be the case.

Panthers +2.5 5 units @ $1.90

Bunnies got it back into gear last week against a less than impressive saints side. However I do not believe that can take that lightly. Bunnies were missing that spark but I do now believe they may have found that once again. Panthers had a good win over the Raiders. Panthers are 2-2-1 ATS and Bunnies are 2-3 ATS so neither side has been good covering the number and the line tonight is very short. However with that said the Panthers are perfect at home and I am going with the trend that continues tonight. They have impressed me this year and have shown a lot of ability against good sides. This game strikes me as one that could come down to golden drop kick and for that reason I like the points in this one.

Can I assume that the total for Bunnies/Panthers is low because there is bad weather around the foot of the mountain's?

What a horrible night last night. Broncos should have won that game but a run away try changed that game so much. Panthers were just poor and not good enough at all.

Picks:

Raiders -2.5 5 units @ $1.90

I have said in the past that they a horrible favs but I just can not look past them tonight. Teams of MNF have not been great this season and the knights looked super poor on MNF. Raiders did struggle to score points last weekend but that was a bad weather game and hard to get a gauge on form from that game. They are back home tonight and think they have the class to beat the knights. Knights just do not have any class this season and really the only game they have played any good was the emotional game at home after the Alex tackle. Just think that Raiders are to good today.

Chooks/Eels Over 42.5 4 units @ $1.90

The last time these 2 got together there was plenty points for the Chooks. Since then they have not scored a lot. Well I think that all changes tonight and we see some points out of both these teams. Chooks are 1-4 on totals and Eels are 4-1 on totals. As I said before the season started Eels are an over team and think they leak a few tonight but in return they score a few as well.

Chooks 1-12 Margin 4 units @ $3.00

I just can not see the Chooks going 2-4 to open the season. This is a huge revenge game for the Eels and with that said I am going for this line. Can not see the Chooks blowing them out twice but will be a good game. Could also be a small let done spot for the Eels after the last couple weeks that they have had.

Tigers +1.5 5 units @ $1.95

Love the Tigers so much tonight. As I have mentioned above MNF teams have not gone fantastic the next week and the cowgirls are off a big home performance that they required. Tigers looked very good last week over the Sea Eagles and really like them this season. They are probably my bet of the night and think they should just be way to good the Cowgirls.

On a bad run right now but the last 3 games of the weekend I love the spots a lot and will be betting accordingly.

Doggies -1.5 7 units @ $1.90

I see a lot made about games after a team loses a coach and so on. But I am also to understand that it is only like 50% winning over past 10 years or something and today we have spot no good for the Warriors. We all know they go poor at Eden park and the Doggies have found some form and are playing well. Had a very good win last week over the Chooks and the week before dismantled the Storm in Perth. I know the Favs are having a hard time of it again this weekend but I like the Dogs to cover the number and notch another win today in Auckland.

Sharks +12.0 7 units @ $1.90

Sharks were very impressive last week over a poor Warriors side and know they run into a severely out of form sea Eagles side and they are being gifted 12 points. I will take my chances with the Sharks for this one. Even if it is a bounce back game for the birds I just think they have not been very strong side this year. Not to mention Sharks are getting healthy and both teams are grinding type sides.
