Some very tasty lines this week and i will be posting for today and tomorrow as i have a massive club competition for golf tomorrow.Picks:Doggies &#x2B;7.5 5 units @ $1.90Chooks were unable to get over the line last week in a thriller with the Sea Eagles. Doggies looked good against the Storm and could be showing signs they are coming back to the form of couple years ago. Doggies are 3-1 ATS to open the season and 3-0 in their last 2 games with a couple blow out wins. They were unlucky not to go to golden point with the Panthers after it took a very good kick by Matty from the sideline to win the game. I think Chooks will be happy to welcome back SBW but will miss JWH in the center of the field a little bit. Also like the key line of 7.5 as it allows for that drop goal to seal a game for a side. Eels &#x2B;8.0 5 units @ $1.90Broncos have started every game this year as underdogs. They are 4-0 ATS and 3-1 Su and are 1 of the hot teams in the NRL right now. Now they are required to lay a lot of chalk to a side that has found form over past couple of weeks and believes they can play with the big boys after a big effort against the Sea Eagles and then a good win last week over the Panthers. Eels are 3-1 ATS and 2-2 Su. They have also started every game as underdogs. Like the Broncos for the Su win here but the game will be taken right down to the last 10 mins.Warriors -4.0 5 units @ $1.90They were played into form by the cowgirls and now they have kicked on with that last week down in Wellington were after giving up a couple early points they looked very good and came home strong against a good Tigers outfit. Sharks have nothing to offer anybody right now. Not sure what is going on there but just looks like none of the players want to play and they are missing a couple key players in the back row. It is always hard to lay chalk with the Warriors on the road but feel this is the only play and the right one for this game.Raiders &#x2B;6.0 5 units @ $1.90Have said it one and will say it again, Raiders are a great team to back as dogs and the worst team to back when they are favs. Raiders are coming off a good win and the Panthers are off a poor defeat. Raiders are 3-1 ATS with the only hick up against the Titans when they were big time favs. Panthers are 2-2 ATS but for the most part of that game last week did not like the side they did in the first 3 rounds. Perhaps they were tired. I think they get back to simply footy this week in an attempt to battle out a victory.Saints &#x2B;2.5 5 units @ $1.90Love the saints for Saturday night. They welcome back 3 key players and right now the Bunnies have zero form and are playing poorly. They are really missing Luke in the ruck and his decision making ability. Saints get the Su win here but for safety will take the points just in case. May have some totals plays later but as of right now that is all i have.BOL

Have been thinking about the 2 games today over night and been up early this morning watching the Yankees game.

Pick:

Titans +10.5 7 units @ $1.95

The titans are coming off MNF which is a little bit of a concern but to equal that out the Storm have to travel back from Perth so not to much to worry about. Titans are 3-1 ATS which I like a lot. Storm are 0-4 ATS to open the season so the stats don't lie. I will take my chances with the DD start and playing pretty good footy and the storm only just winning and battling a lot. Both teams are 3-1 Su so that would suggest the line should be a lot closer as well. Only issue is teams off MNF have not been brilliant to open the season.

Not sure about the Tigers/Birds game. I think the Birds are the play, but the only reason they looked very bad last week I think was to do with the loss of James at the back. The birds have not blown anybody away yet so is a tough one to pick. Perhaps a total play or a prop bet.

Pick:&#xD;&#xA;Tigers/Sea Eagles Over 40.0 5 units @ $1.90&#xD;&#xA;Tigers are 3-1 on totals to open the season and have looked like a side that can score points but on the flip side leak them as well. I expect that after a very hard month to open for the birds they could be lacking a little in D this week and give up a couple weak tries as well. I hear that both stewart brothers are expected to play as well which con only help the game going over. Yes the birds are 1-3 on totals but I do not believe that will matter and this game will be a 26-20 type game.&#xD;&#xA;BOL

NRL YTD 24-14-1 &#x2B;57.45 unitsemkeeYes i realized soon after i had posted that they had covered the number in round 1.LunchboxI did make a not of that but they kept the total so high i figured something must be at play with a high total for poor conditions and had  a little luck.Really like the game tonight and could be laying another 7 unit play if not larger.

Have had a think a little more about the MNF game and here goes with my play for tonight.

Pick:

Knights +6.5 7 units @ $1.90

Come on now odds makers. Knights have not played awful and in fact they took the Storm down the stretch in MNF couple weeks ago. Now they are getting 6 points from a team that has played poorly in recent weeks. Cowgirls are on a slide right now and i believe they will try go back to basics and eek out a win. They should certainly not be laying this much chalk even at home. I also believe that the knights will still be riding high on emotion after the game last week and its a good spot to keep playing them. Not to mention they are also starting to get healthy at positions they needed to get healthy at. Cowgirls are 0-4 ATS to open the season which is crazy number and yet they are still laying this much chalk. Knights are 2-2 ATS to open the season and as dogs they are 1-0 ATS. Also not to mention that not only this season but ones past MNF has been a good spot to bet underdogs.

emkeeYea i can understand your thinking for the game tonight. Guess with most games there are always reasons to take either side and its some times a game of luck if you come out on the right side of it or not. I like the way the stats line up for the game tonight and yes there is the fact that dogs are barking loudly this year to open the NRL with a record of 31-7-1. Just crazy stat really, i do wonder has any body seen any think like this before?
