the pocket ref knew it was forward and wanted to call it, but the dominant ref couldn't give the try quick enough.

get stand-alone weekends for rep football and things will lift markedly imo. 

the middle third of every NRL season is just a dog's breakfast year after year

Going overs in a game of NRL is DEATH.

I have absolutely no idea why i went over.....

No idea.

NEVER overs again until an NRL team can prove to me that they can score tries that either dont come off forward passes or bombs.

A dry track, no dew, teams off the bye and int he modern game 16-12 in a game where there were 2 forward passes for tries...

Didn't get involved with the previous game, putting my clams on the Warriors plus the points...

Only 1 teanm has scored 20 or more this weekend and in the one game (Souths), scored 3 tries in 5 minutes.

I tell you what has happened.

The game is at a stage now where it is all about wrestling and dummy half running and tries off kicks.

The NRL allow this.

The reason the NRL allow this is to make the game ARTIFICIALLY closer, reduce the nukber of blow outs.

By doing this, the NRL have sacrificed the game as a spectacle.

So in effect, they have slowed the game right down, made games into dour affairs, as long as the games are close, thats what matters.
