BOL everyone
So just had the one play last weekend because the opening round.. Now this is just my own personal opinion on the league and the movements and coaching changes..
For me, Roosters, Cowboys and the Storm are going to be the top 3 IMHO. Roosters teething problems but that will turn around. Cowboys as long as JT is fit, they will be up there. Their forward pack is just amazing and Morgan after last season's end of year brillance was a great thing because Paul Green and the rest of the team realise they don't have to rely as much as on JT each game. Obviously JT is the man and the halfback but they have re-assurance now.
Storm will just be the Storm as per usual with Bellamy. Munster seems to be getting a lot of ball as per their game vs the Dogs and I guess thats they way they will roll.
Bottom 3 - (apologise if some of their fans read this). Raiders, Souths & Dogs. I have no faith whatsoever in these 3 teams moving forward this season. The Raiders spine is horrible. Their forward pack is good but losing Hodgson was a killer for them. Souths with their new coach looked lost on Saturday night and I do believe they are in for a long season. Dogs, well I actually think they may come last because their halves are horrible, their forward pack is average and they never get the ball to their outside backs and at times cannot score. They did score 18 vs the Storm but I don't believe that will happen to often this season.
"The over hyped teams"
Knights, Eels, Eagles & Sharks.Yes the Knights have signed some good players but I will like to see how they do away from home. I think they struggle. As long as Mitchell Moses is driving this Eels team around the park, they won't go anywhere. Eagles, with Barrett as head coach and with all their salary cap issues, I just don't feel they will live up to their hype. They may just scrap into the 8 but I doubt it. Sharks for me will fall from grace. Gallen is old, their forward pack isn't moving as much as it was before up the field and now with new halves and Maloney gone, just think they will be lucky to make the top 4. I have them around 7th.
"Surprise packages" - The Warriors. We have heard this so many times but I feel as though they have the players and the squad to finally do something special this season. Barring any injuries to Johnson of course. Panthers - Griffin the coach apparently is the first coach to go if he doesn't produce. Well that 2H vs Eels yesterday was amazing and they have the best young talent in Cleary. The experience of Maloney as well now along with Cleary and this team should strive for top 4.
"The others" - Tigers, Dragons, Titans and Broncos
I feel as though these teams will be battling it out along with the "over hyped" teams for the 5th spot down to the middle of the table spot kind of thing. Do believe Tigers and Titans won't be there come finals time but I do like what I see in the Dragons and the Broncos need to work on their combinations.
Thursday night has a great game, Sharks hosting the Dragons in the good old derby. Look forward to this game, Waiting on some lines.
