    42 wins n' 33 losses...

North Queensland Cowboys at Penrith Panthers

    The play...Cowboys +11.5

Cowboys are awful shitty although talented, no doubt but the declining Panthers have no business laying double digits to anyone right now. There was a lot of big hits in the Pennies game versus Melbourne and I think it will show tonight plus they lost in assholish fashion. The imminent precipitation means a play on the dog is a must in the Emkee Capping rulebook. Will hold my nose for this stinker of a match and hope I don't come out of it covered in faeces...

Would lean Bunnies in the other match but with the injuries, short line and the questionable mentality of the Dogs, it's a no play...

Remember emkee........this is the BEST part of the season.

Those without a chance start giving up and those in the hunt play 100%.

Last two rounds have been like that and, besides the Swans debacle at the MCG last round, I am batting 100% in the past two rounds in both codes.  This is a brilliant time for AFL and NRL punters.

Screw the stats.....look at the motivation right now.  Books HAVE TO set the lines and MLs based on the current-to season performance.  We know better than that at this point...

Go to the last round game between Manly v Panthers in 02....If Manly win, they make the 8, Panthers were last and had won the spoon......

Based on that, tell if your assumption holds

Having to go back to 2002 to find a weak example to debase a solid wagering angle =

And here's all the proof you need, if you needed any:

A furious Carlton coach Brett Ratten has accused his players of "pulling out" and warned them that their jobs are on the line for failing to go in hard enough during Saturday's humiliating 48-point loss to ladder leaders Collingwood.

    44 wins n' 34 losses...

Gold Coast Titans at New Zealand Warriors

    The play...Titans +4.5

Taking the points on another wet day in Auckland. Last week was a reality check for the Warriors whilst the Titans pulled a game out of their ass versus the Dragons. Both teams banged up. Should be a thriller. FG game for mine. Only concerns are the Warriors stellar play in shitty conditions and the let down factor for the Titans after beating the number one team in the comp...

Wanted to take the Raiders with basically their season being on the line and all but I feel if the Storm are gonna get up for a game it's gonna be in front of their home fans as opposed to on the road much like last week against the Panthers. They looked very enthusiastic on the paddock. Raiders have an extremely poor record versus the Storm. Canberra a popular play among the punters aswell. Taking the points seems a little too easy although I could well be wrong. Most likely staying well clear or holding my nose and taking the fucking Raiders as I'm sure you guys are aware I won't be laying the points with Melbourne, lol...

Looking hard at the game in Brisbane...

Good luck on the Gold Coast.

Only game I am debating right now is the Raiders and the points.  Still trying to get a feel for this as it's all about who wants to play and who doesn't.  Do the Storm really give a shit about this game?  Do the Raiders collapse if they are down late?

Storm players possibly playing to shop their wares to other clubs.  Most likely no let down from Bellamy's side.

    Argh.

And the Raiders are crap at AAMI.

This looks like a no play.

I think its a dangerous thing to try and base a play on whether a very good team is going to be up or down mentally.

Clearly nobody is taking the foot off the gas yet, even the cowboys and sharks hung in like their finals hopes depended on it this weekend even though they're both done for 2010.

Sunday afternoon at home with just a few more matches they'll ever play together, I think you'll see a typical Melbourne performance today, and a typical Melbourne performance is too good for Canberra.

I was just going to come in this thread and say that I cannot find any news reports bagging the Storm camp right now.  It is all positive and I will be on the Storm ML.  Can't be bothered to give away the points.

But the mental aspect is a solid angle at this time of season.  However, it clearly hasn't happened yet in the NRL to the degree it has in the AFL.
