Quick thoughts...

Love the Dogs, well-coached and the best pack in the comp right now with enough class scattered in the backs.

JWH injury is huge, Pearce injury overrated - Maloney covers all his weaknesses.

Books appear to hate the Bunnies, definite sucker bet.

Cows weaknesses in the middle were brutally exposed in the Bunnies game. Morgan injury is huge.

Storm offense gets stagnant vs the better teams.

Broncos a chance but their pack carries no weight.

Sharks a smokey for sure.

Dragons may surprise but I have them out in the 1st round.

Go the DOGS!!

Roosters will miss JWH BADLY. I also like Pearce, he will be missed. Maloneys D is very poor. They should have put 40 on the Broncos the other night. They had that much ball, field position and possession.

Souths look mentally shot to me. They peaked in April.

Broncos pack is very light.

Cows, Morgan is a massive loss. That right side in attack is now very very weak. Teams can focus more on Thurston.

I still don't rate the Storm without Slater.

Dragons are making up the numbers.

For the Sharks, they will need Fafita back. They have a fantastic balance of experience and youth in there team.

The thing is though...if the Cows and Broncos make the top 2, all there semis will be in QLD if they win in week 1, makes it very very tough,.

Yep, I agree Rod....we had only beaten 1 top 8 team all year prior to the Broncos game and that was against understrength Storm team.

We certainly haven't played our best footy ALL year....

Can scratch the Cows if they don't have Morgan and probably won't due to that crappy defense.

Broncos the only team north of Sydney worth a flutter.

Inglis having minor surgery on his knee, expected to be out 2 weeks.

Morgan believed to have fractured his lower leg, gone for the season.

Robert Lui time, lol. Cows are fcuked.

JWH gone, Pearce gone until and/or if the GF.

Dogs, Broncos and Storm with the Sharkies getting a sniff imo.

I can find plenty of reasons why a team can’t win the comp this year, but I struggle to find reasons why a team will. Anyway, I thought the season was over after week 1 and it was Souths and the Roosters, forget everybody else. At least that’s what the man on TV told me.

Next year’s market will be up soon, and I have a special. This team has all the ingredients – the coach about to sue the club, the SOO winger about to sue the club, a former player taking court action against the board, no CEO, a 47yo Beau Scott who is surely just gone there to top up his super, a big money backrower who is more interested in Botox than football, a fullback coming in with emotional issues, no halfback, the big signing of Saddam Hussein’s son from Manly, Ryan Morgan

Chooks, Broncos and Storm.

Dogs a big maybe now with the Hodkinson injury.

Cows still an extremely slight chance.

In saying that it's the Roosters to lose with the Broncos their only realistic threat.

No parity in the Finals.

no over-reaction. They get a home preliminary final. Only once in the past 5 seasons has a team won the prelim final out of state, a 10% strike rate. They will be very strong favourites to win at home, so they are about a $1.40 to be in the GF.

The other side of the draw has Roosters, Dogs and tonights winner. A tougher task

They only get a home prelim if the loser of tonight's Queensland derby fails to win their finals game next week which will be against either the Bunnies or Sharks.

So yes as of now it's an overreaction to a poorly executed game by the Roosters.

That being said if Melbourne get the Broncos in 2 week's time at Suncorp, then I'll give them more than a solid chance of advancing pending the availability of Koribete.

Roosters -2 at Broncos.
