Panthers are on a pretty big slump at the moment by their high standards. They struggled to put away an awful Titans team 2 weeks ago on the Gold Coast, only managing to raise enough of an effort in the 2nd half to get over the top of them in a game they were priced at 1.10!!!
Last week at their fortress at Panther Stadium, they lost to their bitter rivals Parramatta and looked way off their best, again priced as short 1.27 favourites.
Many are falling over themselves to back the premiers here to get back to winning ways, but if there is any team you don't want to be facing in a form slump it is the Melbourne Storm. Melbourne this year have put some monster scores on opponents so are more than capable of matching the Panthers here. The loss of Papanehuyzen and Hughes isn't ideal, but if any time can overcome that and lean into their squad it is a Craig Bellamy team. Form isn't like a light switch either, once it goes away it isn't always that straight forward to get back so plenty of value backing Melbourne here at the $3 price.
Melbourne Storm H2H @ $3.00 Melb / Melb HT / FT @ $9.00 Under 34.5 (it's raining and has been all day so pts may be hard to come by)
