Last year, my father used to recieve a phone call at around 5ish on Fridays......It was a call to come to the TAB from a senior NRL club official so he can place bets for him. This was occuring more around the second half of the season....
That club official is no longer at the club.
Let me say, none of the bets placed were on his club.
Furthermore, 1 player from his club (an NRL super star) was also at the same regularly at the same TAB ALSO used to get one of his friends (non player) to place a bet on games...Again, this was not on HIS game...
The player knows my father by name but never got him to place any bets for him...
The player would write the ticket, then go outside with his friend and give him the ticket (so the cameras in the TAB didnt see it)..
Again, this was NOT on his game that he was playing...
But let me say this.....Alot of players are very very good friends not just with people in their own club, but accross the NRL...
You join the dots...
Furthermore, the bets my father placed were around anywhere between $100 to $1000 and the player only around the $500 mark.
They were not on 1st scoring play, or 1st try scorer or something that would stick out...More like line and h2h....

So hypothetically, if we are in the year 2005 and i am saying that Tim Donaghy is crooked and he is betting on games (at that time, he hasnt been caught), but from what i see on the court, he is crooked....You will say the same thing to me as you are right now......
Because he hasnt been caught, and no NBA ref at that point in time had not been caught betting on games, does that mean my claims on Donaghy are false?
