Yes, Rod, I always watch the 6Nations. It's the ringing bell which wakes me from my winter hibernation and gets the blood flowing again. The start of that tournament harkens the arrival of a new year, the final chapter of winter, and all the good times to come.

Good god the quality of that tournament is poor. No wonder there was not one NH team that made the WC semi-final last year
The Wales/France game today was shocking
Yeah, Rod. The quality of the 6Nations this year is not up to snuff. I think a lot of the change-over and retirements, not to mention the aging of some key components across the squads and new coaching shifts, have not helped the quality of play. I guess one could say that is the result of being in the year-after a World Cup.
Still, there is always a charm about the 6Nations which doesn't exist in other comps and I'm always happy to enjoy it for what it is each and every year.

The line in the Italy vs. Scotland game is dead-on, IMO. That one is hard to gauge.
I really like the +8.5 on offer for Ireland. England will walk away with the 6Nations this year because of all the upheavals in the other sides, but I think the 8.5 is too many points and an over-reaction to the early English dominance. These two usually play Under the given total, and if that's the case this year, then the 8.5 looks even better.

Yes. His inclusion led me onto the Chiefs tonight. For my money, he's the best all-around player in the world right now and reminds me a lot of a Jonny Wilkinson in his prime: solid, dependable, and an anchor to his side.
McKenzie was a nice surprise tonight even with his clanger from long-distance. I think the teamwork of those two will determine how far the Chiefs go this year.
