You cannot bet live over the internet here in Aus?
I understand it is government legislation, but I want to try and understand the REASON why the government has this law?
It simply doesn't make sense.

I heard the Howard government legislated for an internet gaming act back when he was in power.
Thinks its cost a lot of us money in recent years. Creates additional headaches when companies like Bet365 only give you a $20 minimum phone bet. Sometimes a $5 or $10 wager is all that's required when your having a crack at something with extra large odds.

Just be glad that you can have all of those betting options available.
Here in the "Land of the Free," Congressional legislation all but makes online gambling illegal. Of course, the wise know how to get around it, but I would absolutely love a local TAB or tons of online options to boot. Shytehead Congressman said that Americans need to find something else to do than sit on the computer in their living rooms and bet on sports.
A Congressman actually said that.

rolled up in the same legislation as online casino games. Classified by the Howard govt as "interactive".
It won't be overturned anytime soon, no matter who is power.
