Better yet, on another day, he isnt even the batter that is due at the plate in that position, it might be Kurt Suzuki, and a different result.
It doesnt matter what you say, the game has a ridicolous luck componant to it.

Ace and Hirschfelder.
Next time a game is on, load up the game cast on ESPN.
The game cast has a built in algorithm that takes into consideration every damn scenario, ie, the chances of scoring a run where no one is on base, one on base two etc etc, how many out, who is batting, piching etc etc.
You see situations where there is no one on, 2 outs and the chance of scoring 1 or more runs is something like 1.5% depending on who is batting etc, and they end up scoring 2-3 runs.
If i said to you i have a 1.5% chance of doing something and i do it, what would you say i am -
