What a difference the referee can make. Hayne should have got Benefit of the Doubt - there is no way anyone could tell if he touched the line. The attacking side is supposed to get the benefit and that just did not happen. Qld then go up the other end and score. I reckon Bill knew if would be controversial!!!!

The only way he doesn't touch the line if his heel didn't go all the way down.........for that one step.


Blues better put up some road blocks or they will get run over.

yeah, I agree, but no one will ever know if he did touch the line - therefore, it's benefit of the doubt....

 

and they never showed a replay of the 'illegal block' on Israel that led to another Qld try.

Not sure about your sprinting style Norse, but I for one, don't plant my heel on every step - that would just be plain awkward.  I thought the following decision was even more dubious - Hayne "taking out" Folau - oh dear that was a shocker.

Agreed, but when you see the replay, all his other steps - his running "style" - his heels touched the ground.
