    Very interesting round this week..

    Titans v Eels

Tricky game. Titans off the short back-up, Eels desperate. Eels have a reasonable run home, but are already 2 points out of the 8. Pretty ordinary side unless Hayne fires, tbh. Probably won't make the finals anyway.

    Cowboys v Brisbane

I think the guys here have already covered this pretty well. Brisbane will play finals for the 19th straight season, cows won't be within cooee of the finals. But this is always close...

    Manly v Melbourne

Now this one has me very intrigued. Manly 4 point favourites to Melbourne after getting SLAPPED by Newcastle on Monday. Melbourne can't earn points but can take points off other sides. I'd imagine theyd be pretty keen to knock-off Manly in Manly in one of their last games together as a unit - fuck, what else have they got to play for?

    Melbourne may be a bet.

    Cronulla v New Zealand

Yuck. Cronulla have been going alright. New Zealand have to stop the rot if they're to even make the 8, talk of top 4 is long gone. NZ have more to play for, but who knows..

    Souths v Wests

Wests are the worst top 4 side in history. Souths lose this and their promising season is over.

    Newcastle v Bulldogs

Mullen played his best game of the season on Monday. Gidley/Mullen halves partnership has been quite successful this year. Knights to keep their non-existant finals hopes alive for another week

    Rooters v Dragons

I see everyone here on St George. I'll bet the Rooters out of spite.

    Canberra v Penrith

Canberra or over. Canberra have nothing to lose and should play as such on the ice rink. A brave man to back against them down there at night.

The biggest difference between Parra this year and last year comes down to 2 things........

Daniel Mortimer - he was a real x factor last year, he was new, no one knew what to expect and he caught alot teams with there pants down.........This year, he has been downright awful, he has nothing, doesnt have a good pass, cant break the line, cant create for others, the only thing he has is a grubber/chip kick relying on the bounce.....

Expectation, last year, No one expected it, this year EVERYONE expects it......Shut down there offloads, and they have nothing, they dont hav eany structure in set plays.....Last year that was hidden as they were offloading and playing off broken field.....

The roosters, this teams attack is so far above and far ahead of everyone elses its not funny.......These guys have revolutionised attack in the NRL, they have so many weapons, they dont rely off kicks, Carney is the closest thing to a pure 5/8 since Lyons, Lamb and Lewis....This guy creates for himself and more importantly for others, i love how he runs accross field and finds gaps.......he is an old school 5/8.......Mortimer is a sympton of how halves are coached these days, Carney is old school....

Cows will be competitive for 65 mins then drop off.......Liking overs there.....

Did you read the link I posted the other day by the Wok Rostos?

He can explain the current halves problem better than me mate.

Carney is a baller, always has been. I wanted Newcastle to sign him (conveniently when B Smith was our coach)...

It surprises me none that the kid is doing well.

Mortimer is garbage. Sorry, but he is.

Carney is the best in the biz right now.  A dream to watch.

Souths are banged up a bit, aren't they?  Might like to back against that.

Dragons v. Roosters?  Isn't this an always automatic Dragons tip?  Surely the Roosters can't keep winning?

    I don't mind if they do....but.....wow...

    ???

Tough round in both codes methinks.

    Canberra on MNF at home?

Also, love the Storm and what they are using this season as.  They are definitely the team you do not want to see at this point in the season and are using it as a big fuck-you to everyone in the league.  We are the best, but we'll sit this finals out and let the rest of you chumps sort it out, etc.

    Awesome.

Storm +4 has to be a play.  At first glance, that is.
