Australian cricket team just lost a series 3-0 against a team that prior to this had only lost to once

Australian rugby team has started the international season 0-4 for the first time in 35 years culminating in the worst home Bledisloe Cup loss in history

Australian basketball team just lost to Serbia by 20+ in the semi-final having been the most impressive team in the Olympics up until that point

Australian Olympic team as a whole has underperformed based on initial expectations

Have I missed any other? Brutal to be a Australian sporting fan at the moment

Australian cricket team has struggled in 'Asia' forever. I think that's more relevant than the fact the Lankans hadn't beaten them in a series. Nonetheless, they were clueless in this recent series. CA, Pat Howard and the like all need to be looked at.

Wallabies are flat out embarrassing. Not sure what has gone so wrong in that organisation.

Boomers looked really impressive until sh!tting the bed in the semis. That stuff is obviously between the ears. I'm seriously wondering if an Australian men's basketball team will ever win an Olympic medal in my lifetime.

Australian Olympic team as a whole have been massively underwhelming. Swimming Australia should all be sacked, the cyclists were not much better and Athletics Australia need to face some tough questions as well.

Remember the late 1990's when our teams won everything? Cricket team, Rugby side, League team, netballer's all unbeatable.

It is just amazing how in cricket in particular, teams like Aus are soooo good at home and completely diabolical on the road

What is even more frustrating is because Aus are soooo good at home, you have to hear the channel 9 cheerleaders i mean commentators like Slater, Healy, Taylor and James Brayshaw when Aus are winning, but because they dont cover Asian tours you wouldnt get the satisfaction of hearing there voices when Aus are getting completely spanked.

Its just plain weird how bad teams are away from home in cricket...really really weird.

I think you forgot the biggest Aussie Olympic disappointment....the Opals...they were the second best team behind the USA and they got upset in the q-finals by Serbia.....I think they could have made the USA sweat a little bit.....

Aussie men's team is called the Boomers but in your defense they did play like the Opals in that quarterfinal vs the Serbs.

Its just plain weird how bad teams are away from home in cricket...really really weird.

the preparation of wickets has a lot to do with that imo.. I can't remember a time where pitches have been so heavily tailored towards the strengths of home teams and or the weaknesses of visiting teams, particularly in Asia. It's become like Davis Cup tennis.

The series between India and South Africa earlier this year was farcical imo.. The ball was going through the top of the surface and turning square on day one. Basically they were 4th / 5th day Indian wickets from the get go. I think India played one quick bowler and three or four spinners and basically opened with spin.

South Africa were basically played out of the game before a ball had even been bowled due to the set up of the conditions.

I shudder to think what it'll be like when Australia goes over there next year. We'll struggle to win a session imo. That's in no way covering up the fact our batting is utterly woeful at the moment, but even the great AB DeVilliers and Amla were completely snuffed out over there by the sand pit state of the wickets.

Trump may not be the answer we're looking for but anybody who thinks the world's most corrupt woman, Clinton is good for the nation or the world is a complete moron.
