Australia v New Zealand

No two people would ever agree on the selection of Australia's backs for this one. Nic White was always going to be half, although he's no world-beater. Folau obviously fullback and Ashley-Cooper had to be there somewhere. Foley was pretty much a certainty (and of course has missed out), Toomua you'd expect, probably Kuridrani, Beale to come off the bench, Horne 's been solid, McCabe?? You can pretty much toss them in in any combination. Hard to see that this will work to Australia's advantage against a settled AB backline that picks itself (and yes I would have Smith ahead of Dagg)

This said it is probably up front that the match will be won. Again AB's are more settled and I think their tight 5 are a little harder than ours. The battle of the loose forwards will be tremendous but I think Hooper probably gives us a slight scavenging advantage.

I throw the above few comments in to kick off a discussion. What do you guys think?

I don't see any value in the line at 3.5, the NZ TAB has 4.5, that would get me leaning Australia. 

I would expect the O/U to be around 48.5

+9.5 ausi is good. 1.50.  This is best bet.

McKenzie is a shrewd operator but my god some of these selections are bemusing. This doesn't look anywhere near the Wallabies strongest lineup 

Is this Wallabies line-up as strong as the Tahs side in the Super GF?

It's questionable. Charles for Polota-Nau, Slipper for Robinson, no Potgieter. The backs are much of a muchness.

Is this AB line-up stronger than Crusaders GF side?

Undoubtedly

Add the fact that the black jersey is worth 10 points and I think the AB's will rack up no.18.

Make no mistake, Australian rugby is on the rise and we're not without a hope tonight, but we're probably not quite settled enough yet to knock off the champs.

I don't understand why McKenzie would want to break up the best 10/12 combo in super rugby this season. 

I like this team a lot, looks like McKenzie is going for a territorial gameplan. McCabe and Horne and both straight runners and strong tacklers, Toomua is more physical than Beale and can give Nonu a dose of his own medicine, AAC is a rock obviously and without Conrad Smith(huge loss) there is a direct route of attack for AAC just like the GF. Beale and Toomua will be interchanging 10/12 all night I'm sure. I have Wallabies +9.5 in a multi but I'm looking at the +4.5, really like Aus to win tonight tbh
